Theyre plastic lenses but honestly for me that just causes less anxiety about breaking them. I got prescription blue blocking transitions lenses with a like anti scratch and smudge coating for like 40 dollars or something including frames. That was a couple years ago, though.
Also a lot of insurance providers let you submit the receipts from them and get reimbursed? Ik mine let me at least.
Eye exam is also usually covered by insurance? So you generally just have to go get a current prescription inc. pupil distance and you can order whatever the fuck you want under your Budget Covered By Insurance and get the money back
You can get prescription safety glasses for like 20 bucks, too. And basically any frame can become sunglasses of any colour if you want.

Sorry i just saw this😭// and no no you're alright 😅 You make a good point! I've looked at Zenni and other kinda eyeglass places, it's just that my eyes sight is pretty bad lol and I have astigmatism in one eye so my glasses end up being more expensive no matter what.
When I got the newest glasses I got I got my eye exam and everything but I'm gonna look at my insurance and see If I can squeeze anything else out of it haha. And aw thank you but I promise I'm good for now 🥲❤️ I have an old pair and the pair I just got as a backup, and if all else fails I'll just pay for another pair. Honestly buying off of zenni or any website like that ends up being the same price as I pay w insurance anyway lol 😭
