When a Jedi says “May the Force be with you”, it comes with the context of how the Force is not just a Jedi thing, the Force is for everyone. Whether someone can feel it themselves or not, they are part of the Force, the Force still moves through them, moves with them, connects them to the rest of the galaxy. When the Jedi say “May the Force be with you” it’s not them pushing their religion on others, it’s acknowledging that literally everyone is part of this massive cosmic energy field that definitively exists in their galaxy. The Force exists for all living beings and the Jedi want to share it with everyone.
Got my flag up in time for the fourth!
Have a fun and save holiday, fellow Americans ❤️🇺🇸
Since no one seems to be teaching the kids this anymore:
Don't post anything with specific registration numbers on it, kids! This includes driver's licenses (we're so proud you can drive now, but don't show us your name, face, address, and driver number!), passports (travel is fun, but just post pictures of what you saw after the trip is over!), train/plane/concert/show tickets (see above!), or credit cards oh my god people are posting their entire credit card online that will put you in massive debt and screw your credit score for life please do not!!!
This has been a PSA from your concerned friend online. Please protect yourself. Some secrets are not only okay, but necessary.
AND!! And! This also includes posting pictures of barcodes, especially on boxes from things you’ve ordered from Amazon, UPS, etc etc etc.
Barcodes are scannable. I occasionally have to do this for clients at work, and no, I do not work for Amazon, FedEx or UPS or anything like that. At the very least, barcodes contain your home (shipping) address. Do not post images that show a straight on picture of a barcode - the picture of the barcode may or may not be scannable, by people who may or may not work for the company you ordered from.
And absolutely positively do not post pictures containing a tracking number! You don’t even need a barcode reader to decode that information.
And license plates. DO NOT POST photos of your car where your license or registration sticker are visible! This goes for friends' vehicles that might show up in your photos too. Don't post photos where your street number or house/apartment building number are visible and turn off geotagging/ location tagging for photos on your phone. The Internet Elders warn you about these things for really good reasons.
hello! i saw a post that some people apparently have used ai to "finish" wips that have been "left too long"... i don't think those people really care about blanket permission (tho i wouldn't call their output "transformative work") but it did come up on the post, so i thought maybe i should ask for clarification? because i personally understood that authors give permission under the assumption that a person would make a thing based on their thing, so i don't know if this should be a further disclaimer (like the goodreads thing) or if it should be taken for granted..
(not to mention that this isn't fic of a fic, its literally finishing someone's writing)
No, you should never do this. Author's put a lot into writing those works, using an A.I to finish them would never be the same as them finishing the fic. An A.I can only "add" from what it knows from scrubbing works that people do not consent to.
Do not use A.I to finish fics that authors abandoned or haven't finished. That is super disrespectful to them.
I understand wanting to see a fic finished and wanting to know the outcome but doing it with A.I would never fulfill that for you. It's merely guessing and adding from multiple different things/works that it's stolen from and might not even make sense. It doesn't know what direction the author was going in, it doesn't know the twists and turns the author was going to add, it doesn't know anything about the author.
An A.I generated fic is Completely Different from a fan-made art or fic based off your work. It's Completely Different than someone asking to finish your work themselves.
A.I is not a "cool way to finish unfinished fics" .
Please don't use A.I on fics just because you are curious about the ending.
It will never be the same as actual human writing. And it is super disrespectful to authors who put time and care into their work.
Sorry if this comes off annoyed, I just really don't like this whole A.I writing fanfic thing lol

I would much rather the show work than betray it to any kind of human need to be seen.
As an artist, I felt it was necessary to make that gif.
And so:
