I should say that it is far better for the individual to indulge in some personal consideration of their thoughts and feelings rather than speaking them thoughtlessly to anyone who will listen. The former enables one to become familiar with oneself (among other positive things) while the latter foments rumorous hearsay (among other negative things).

I’m Questioning Everything

So, my parents suspect I may have ADHD and/or ASD and they’ve starting pointing out the symptoms to me. It honestly makes me question everything ‘cause like,,, some people just,,, don’t sit there for hours making lists?? You don’t just have a random topic come into your head and just,,, make a list?? Like, lists are fucking amazing man, how could you NOT be constantly making them?? IT’S SO FUN LIKE WHAT

People do what they know, and it cannot be otherwise. It is always much harder to do those things which we do not know how to do. However, it is in doing these things that we divulge new information. In gaining new information, we can either choose to incorporate it into our knowledge, thereby altering what we know and hence, what we can actually do—or—we can choose to disregard that information in lieu of what we already know. The former is growth and the latter is stasis.
