“I won’t speak for other Asian American actors, because I don’t know what they’re being offered,” Yeun continued. “But for me, it’s like: nice guy, dependable, supportive, benign. Beige. And as a Korean man, I am not beige.”
“I felt like there wasn’t space for me to fully spread all of who I was, and that was partly due to me, too, because when I started, all I was trying to do was to work within the parameters that they were giving me. And then, over time, I just outgrew it.”
The living room is dark and low-ceilinged, with bookshelves all along the wall opposite the windows. These books have not made George nobler or better or more truly wise. It is just that he likes listening to their voices, the one or the other, according to his mood.
Living with anxiety is like being followed by a voice. It knows all your insecurities and uses them against you. It gets to the point when it’s the loudest voice in the room. The only one you can hear.
Warnings: Mentions of sexual assault; Read at your own risk!
Summary: You and your co-workers went out for a karaoke night after a very stressful week of work. Everything was fine until your boss got too drunk again, resulting in you running away from him and trying to hide in another karaoke room. But that room wasn’t as empty as you thought it would be.
a/n: here you have another one shot! I don’t know how long I’ll be able to write frequently so enjoy it while it lasts lol. This one is specifically for a friend of mine that loooooves JK to death. Have fun reading!
*when talking to someone who doesn’t dissociate severely and hasn’t talked about the voices in their head* is this right? did i use the right pronoun? the i pronoun or the we pronoun? is the “i” pronoun appropriate right now? did we mess up? did w
Oh these white conservative people feel threatened when you wear a hijab? When gay people have a place in church? When immigrants come from their countries for jobs and opportunities? And you want them to leave you alone so they can continue to feel superior when their fear is your power??? Make them feel threatened. Make them see that this land ain’t a white man’s land anymore. Make them see that we have a voice and that that voice does NOT want to be held back anymore.
The active form is used when the subject makes the action

futur simple / future : le chat mangera la souris

plus-que-parfait / pluperfect : le chat avait mangé la souris
LA VOIX PASSIVE
The passive form is used when the subject experiences the action
Ex : La souris est mangée par le chat - the mouse is eaten by the cat
For a short sentence : subject + verb + object
Ex : La voiture a été emboutie
For a detailed sentence : subject + verb + object + par/de + who/what
NB : If the auxiliary is avoir, the past participle is invariable (Le chat a mangé la souris) but if it’s être, the past participle is variable. If your subject is masculine singular, nothing changes : Il est tombé. If your subject is feminine, you will add -e, and if it’s plural, -s. So elle est tombée, ils sont tombés, elles sont tombées.
