The fact that it’s been over 60 degrees for the past four days can only mean one thing—spring is here! The warm weather has totally turned my mood around and I’m officially ready to come out of hibernation and re-engage with my city. First stop: Taste of the Nation NYC on April 28. The annual event brings together more than 75 of New York’s best chefs and bartenders for an evening of food, drink and fun. Better than ever, this year’s lineup includes such exciting restaurants as The Cecil, The Cleveland, Contra, La Cenita and Toro NYC. I’m also looking forward to Brooklyn spots like Bergen Hill, Do or Dine, Nightingale 9 and The Pines as well as cocktails from The Butterfly, Pearl & Ash and Pouring Ribbons. For those less interested in stuffing their faces, there will be intimate book signings with Einat Admony, Michael Chernow and Anita Lo, and a marketplace selling goods from Four & Twenty Blackbirds, The Jam Stand, Morris Kitchen and more. The best part—a portion of the proceeds goes toward Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, so you can indulge knowing you’re helping to end childhood hunger.
