Dogmeat: Samoas, one of the golden standards. EVERYBODY loves Samoas, just like everybody loves Dogmeat! Unless you happen to be allergic to coconut and/or dogs. As a bonus, they’re preeeeetty much the same color.
Nick Valentine: Thin Mints, the other standard. I’ve never met someone that would turn down a thin mint just like I don’t think I’ve ever met someone that didn’t like Nicky. Can you marry Thin Mints? Not in most jurisdictions, I’m afraid, much like we can’t romance our favorite detective.
Codsworth: Trefoils [the shortbread one]
Not the jazziest by any means, and gets left behind rather often, but always delightful. Dependable. They’ll always be back home, waiting faithfully for you.
Not many give ‘em the chance, but they’re actually pretty damn good if you do.
Danse: Do-si-dos [the peanut butter sandwich]
Rough and crunchy on the outside, much like the Paladin is when you first meet him. Get through that tough exterior and you find out just how soft the insides are. [note: apparently every box of these you buy teaches your girl scout troop about goal setting? that…is…so Danse.]
What the fuck is this cookie. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS COOKIE. They are two wildly different cookies depending on which bakery your cookies come from, just like Deacon and his many disguises. Either way, this one is going to throw you for a loop.
Preston: Caramel Chocolate Chip
Doesn’t this cookie just sound delightful? A classic with added depth of flavor from the caramel and the sea salt, much like Preston and his backstory. Pure and sweet like the Commonwealth cinnamon roll. Also, considerate enough to be gluten free.
Piper: Tagalongs [the chocolate covered peanut butter one]
Aside from being one of the other most popular cookies? Well, I mean the reporter likes to tag along and get the scoop. Hah.
That was dumb, but I feel like Piper would appreciate the dumb joke.
Curie: Thanks-A-Lot [shortbread, but with CHOCOLATE]
A lot like the trefoils, with an added layer of experimental chocolate [or side quest] These cookies are multi-lingual! They are embossed with a thank-you in one of [five?] languages. One of them is French.
MacCready: Toffee-Tastic [shortbread with toffee bits]
Only offered in select girl scout markets! Or, only offered at the Third Rail. After you hire him. Rewarding if you are able to get the cookie [and get to know the cookie and his quest :’)]
X6-88: Rah-Rah-Raisins [oatmeal raisin with greek yogurt chunks]
This sounds like a cookie that people love to hate. A misunderstood cookie. A cookie that is just doing its job, that has more depth and complexity than anyone would like to admit.
Hancock: Double Dutch [chocolate cookie with chocolate chips]
If you pick up this cookie, you’re going all-in with it. You are a ride-or-die for chocolate, kind of like how Hancock is pretty much your ride-or-die if he comes with you. Prepare yourself for the toothache you’ll get from this sweet cookie, and the way it calls you “sunshine”.
Strong: He’s not a cookie
He’s the glass of milk.
Go easy on me, I’m not super familiar with all of the companions<3
also, some of these are discontinued cookies because I ran out of cookies toward the end of the list
