A/N: Look who finally decided to show up after promising too many times and failing…this girl! lol But I’m back with another chapter and I am going to strive and make Saturday’s the day I come out with new chapters. Plus, I would say this one was more of a filler(and shorter) for the juicy bits coming at you next Saturday!!! So get ready folks;)

(Fantasy AU Kylo Ren x Reader)

Summary: We’ve heard of Guardian Angels, but what about spirits? Everyone, after death, either passes onto the next life or is assigned to a newborn baby until death: to protect, care, and guide them. Kylo was assigned to you but what happens when he starts to fall for you as the years go on?

Part IV 

‘Am I doing the right thing?’ Kylo thought. Was he making the correct decision on going to Anakin about these pressing matters? Surely it must be if life felt like it would crumble if he didn’t. Closing his eyes, Kylo took a deep, choppy breath.

However, just as he was about to step inside of the room, he heard two voices. One that belonged to Anakin, and the other-well he couldn’t tell. The voice sounded awfully familiar too, but he just couldn’t put his finger on the female voice he was listening to. Kylo leaned his ear into the door in an attempt to listen in on the conversation.

“You’re telling me my son was wrapped up in some…evil world dominance scheme and that I’m not supposed to tell him. T-to pretend that I don’t remember him! I can’t just-” the woman whisper shouted.

A long silence followed promptly after catching Kylo off guard; he pressed his ear closer to the door straining to hear the conversation. But to Kylo’s surprise, the door abruptly opened up pushing Kylo to the floor and for Anakin to look down at him in irritation.

“Mr. Ren, what on earth do you think you’re doing?” Anakin asked with his hands firmly attached to his hips as if to say 'I know what you were doing, but it would be best if you just tell me.’ Kylo stood up and dusted himself off, but before he spoke; he managed to peek inside the room and found that no one was there.  

“I-uh came to tell you something,” noticing the look of suspicion cloud Anakin’s eyes Kylo cleared his throat. “It’s important.” Without so much of a sound, Kylo stepped into Anakin’s office and sat down in his usual seat.

Anakin followed closely behind and sat down in front of Kylo with a fist under his chin and legs spread to show he had his attention.

“I know you’ve told me to get over this, but I know for sure that (Y/N) needs to get away from Hux. I-I even think she’s thinking about it…I guess what I’m trying to say there needs to be another push to end the relationship,” the emphasis on 'relationship’ was one of disgust-maybe a tinge of jealousy.

“And before you say I should stop coming back with the same thing you just gotta know-,” Kylo stopped to watch Anakin stand up from his chair and stand with anguish in front of the bookshelf. Kylo looked up with wide eyes and a furrow in his brows; struggling to read Anakin’s body language.

Turning his head over his shoulder, Anakin lifted a brow to signal for Kylo to keep going. However, when heavy silence fogged the room, Anakin grumbled in impatience. “No offense Kylo, but I have important matters to-"Does the name Snoke mean anything to you?” Kylo blurted out.

Anakin jerked his body to face Kylo; pure horror decorated his every facial feature. He rushed over to sit in the chair directly in front of Kylo urging for him to continue, “What do you know about that demon?”

Kylo bit his tongue; he was about Anakin’s sudden concern. Whoever the man he was going to tell Anakin about had to be dangerous, so it would be a mistake to hold back any information: right? His thoughts went right back to the memory that haunted him now; he’d be crazy to hold that information back but maybe even crazier to tell him too.

“Hux, the guy (Y/N)’s dating, has an affiliation with Snoke. I know their planning on using (Y/N) because of the necklace she wears…a-and how he drains her power. Her mother, Phasma, she’s apart of it as well!” Kylo’s eyes searched frantically for a reaction but only met with Anakin’s blank stare. “How do you know this,” Anakin whispered.

The way he said it made Kylo feel as if he already knew the answer, yet his mind raced desperately to find an answer to Anakin’s question without giving his dream away in the process. “I-uh…caught him talking to Snoke through some kind of magical communication…discussing the plan,” it wasn’t fully a lie. He did catch Hux talking with Snoke at the diner; sure it wasn’t about the plan, but he caught him nonetheless.

Anakin stood up abruptly, he walked over to the shelf again and pulled out an old, dusty book. While opening the book, he walked back over to the chair and sat down. Kylo bounced his leg, out of anxiety, and waited for Anakin to continue.

“Snoke…was a very powerful being,” Anakin said in a hushed tone. “ Both when he was alive and now. A businessman in a way many centuries ago; participating in many nefarious acts. The greed and extremity of power swallowed him whole. He became the first truly evil entity known to Guardian Spirits. Anyone affiliated with him has fallen victim to the seduction of the dark side.”

“Is there a way to stop him?” Kylo’s voice raised an octave. Fear struck into his heart upon seeing a flash of doubt and incompetence across his face. He knew the answer when stillness filled the room,“ You’ve got to be kidding me! (Y/N) will die if we don’t do something now!”

The room was still after Kylo’s outburst.

Anakin’s thoughts continued to bounce around in his mind like ping-pong balls being hit back and forth. His eyes danced across the pages of the mysterious book until they landed on a partially ripped chapter: Rekindling Crystal. His eyes grew to the size of golf balls,“ This can’t be.”

“What?” Kylo was baffled by Anakin’s sudden outburst. However, he was more annoyed by the fact he was being ignored. “What can’t be? You can’t just do that man! Can we help my gir-(Y/N) or not?!”

“Do you remember anything from your life, Kylo?” Anakin whispered. His gaze fully focused on Kylo; eyes burning into his skin without daunting.

Kylo harshly swallowed the lump in his throat, “Even if I did, why would it matter?”

Anakin finally stood back up again and heedlessly walked over directly in front of Kylo and muttered,“ I believe with the help of your memories you’ll be able to save (Y/N).”

“Okay, but what would my old life have anything -”

“Not that life, I’m talking about the life way before the one you just departed from. This was a life way beyond this time. There is a reason you were placed in her life, and I believe once we dissect your memories and find the missing piece of this chapter we’ll understand how to defeat Snoke,” Anakin said while waving the paper in front of Kylo’s face.

“You learned this all from a chapter and a half?” Kylo’s brows furrowed.

“We have the key, we just need to find what door it belongs to."
