You are the reason I can’t give out second chances. At this point, I don’t know who is more stupid: me for giving you countless chances, or you, who, when given every opportunity to get better, throws it away. How long will this last? I tried so long to have hope, I truly did. But do you realize how hard it is to watch someone crash and burn and there is nothing you can do about it? And I’m so done. Second chances don’t mean shit. You are only allowing that person to hurt and disappoint you more. Goodbye.
I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations and you are not in the world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, then it is beautiful. If not, it can’t be helped.
7/19/18 - Chapter 5 is here lovelies. <3 Thank you for your patience. I’ve been out of work with a very bad upper respiratory infection. I think it’s viral, and I have to let it run its course. My son and hubs are much better, but I’m still left with an awful cough. :( At least I’ve had more time to write. Silver linings, I suppose. lol.
Chapter 6 will be out in two hours! Let me know how you like it and thank you as always for your support and sweet words. <3 You all are amazing!
Riley couldn’t help but shriek as she realized what was happening. Someone had the burly man that was harassing her firmly planted against the counter at the bar, and she wasn’t certain where he came from or how he had managed to catch her harasser by surprise. On one hand, she was very grateful to the kind stranger who had been the only person in a sea of people to do the decent thing and stop the guy from bothering her. On the other, she wanted to pull her savior off of the man and tell him that it wasn’t worth the trouble. The drunk man was much larger than her rescuer and she imagined that once he was able to escape his grasp, he would be none too pleased. The last thing she wanted was for this guy to end up with a black eye or much worse because he had tried to defend her. It looked as if the drunkard could have easily overpowered the man if he really wanted to. His sheer size alone gave him the upper hand, but for whatever reason, her rescuer was standing firm and holding the drunk securely against the bar. She looked around to see if any bouncers or security guards were headed in their direction to hopefully kick her harasser out of the club. Unfortunately, there was no one even remotely headed in their direction. However, a small crowd had formed around them, all eager to see what was going to happen. Her eyes turned back to the bar, the drunkard was struggling to break out of her savior’s grasp, but he wasn’t making any real progress in escaping, and he was getting angrier by the second.

When you realize you have to stop reading that amazing fanfic you found (Second chances by @thenovelartist ) to work on your own fanfic, only to realize you have to go to bed because you’re an adult with responsibilities.
They can either make you happier or get hurt again. That’s why you have to be very careful to whom you give it to. Because in the end, the one who will either smile or cry is you, not the one whom you’ve given it to. So the hell with the cliché that everyone deserves a second chance. You should take care of yourself and mind your well-being more.
You’ll never learn if you don’t commit mistakes, so don’t be afraid if you made a mistake, just do your best the second time around. There is always a second chance for everything. Remember, learn from you mistakes.
Faith pauses, key in the door lock. She knows if she opens that door and lets Lilah out, she might be risking the lives of her bunk mates. Her family. Worse, if Lilah anything like Faith remembers her, the amount of information stored here by the Men of Letters could make her a danger to people on the outside.
Someone gave Faith a second chance, though, as Sam annoyingly pointed out. Sometimes all you need is that second chance.
The door aches and creeks loudly as it’s eased open, “C'mon, don’t drag your feet.”
You have to acknowledge your troubles but gather strength from them, and laugh at your mistakes but learn from them. Getting second chances in life is about giving yourself the opportunity to grow beyond your past failures. It’s about learning as you go and positively adjusting your attitude and efforts toward future possibilities.
They say love is like a butterfly. You’re supposed to let it go and fly far away to prove your love for it. If by chance one day the butterfly decides to fly back to you, it’s yours forever. I promised myself I’d never believe this stupid saying.. but then you flew back to me.
She had a big heart. no not the ones that donate to charity or take a bullet for someone else. The kind of big heart that accepts too many faults from other people, forgives too easily, gives people more chances than they deserved; despite all that, she still wanted them to be happy. Because if they were, then she was too.
Unless people speak the truth about what they have done and change their mind and behavior, a relationship of trust is not possible. When you forgive someone you certainly release them from judgement, but without change, no real relationship can be established.
A skull where snakes slither all over, through the eyes in circles. No pattern or goal to be reached. A heart covered in sores. No amount of medicine…happiness to amend it. A soul so aired out, unsure of where to go or how to be…who to live in anymore. Negative energy rid this once mortal. Seconds chances vital to their well-being…A second life wanted…⚡️
