So our TA for animal physiology had us do an activity for our quiz grade today, would you like to try it? No? Well here it is:
[No scrolling to the end to cheat!]
1) She had us take 3 minutes to draw a picture. “First thing that pops into your head”. We all thought we were getting an easy grade this week…⏰
2) Take another 3 minutes to hastily write down on the back all the step by step directions to recreate your picture. Suddenly we all knew we were NOT getting points for just just doodling…⏰
3) Trade directions with someone else…Me and my lab partner’s directions are below if ya wanna try ours.
4) Take 3-4 minutes to follow their instructions…⏰
5) Our results (spoilers!)

Hers of mine:
The point of the exercise was to enphasize how we should approach the methodology section of a lab report. Something even older students still don’t do well and fall back into the habit of “writing it like a cook book”
I highly recommend using this game in science camps and classrooms, or just showing it to friends for fun! I’ll be bringing it to my camp kids for sure.
Yes, I would like a glass of loosley aranged compounds that include two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom that somehow help me to keep living because without these particles, my body would shut down completely.
