Tips for Writing Reserved Characters
Reserved characters are hard to RP. Whether they’re shy, introverted, or just standoffish, muses that naturally draw into themselves rather than interact neatly with others are often incredible characters. But it can be hard to keep the collaborative part of roleplay going. Both parties have to be giving for the story to be any fun at all, and if your muse and your writing don’t end up giving, well… eventually, the excuse of “that’s just the way my muse is” and “I have to stay in character” won’t cut it anymore.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have fantastic partners that are willing to help me improve. So, here are some tips I’ve picked up across the years to make sure your muse is still being true to themselves while not leaving your partner in the dust.
