While I love keeping Lipton’s Pure Leaf Sweet Tea in stock, occasionally I want some fresh home-brewed iced tea.
Today I’m making some tea with three of my favorites (½ gallon):
- 3 bags Lipton [Black Tea]
- 1 bag Celestial Seasonings Peppermint Herbal Tea
- 1 bag Arbonne Essentials Herbal Detox Tea 1, 2
Fill pitcher with filtered water.
Pour water into pot and set to warm; not boil!
Place tea bags into water making sure to saturate each one.
Leave on warm & cover. Do not allow the water to boil!
On a low setting, let tea steep for about 15 minutes. Longer if you prefer stronger tea.
Remove from heat and allow to cool.
If desired, put sweetener into pitcher then pour in the still warm brewed tea. For this batch I used ½ cup Nevella but honey or Sugar in the Raw would be good too.
Stir & allow to sit for a few more moments before placing in the refrigerator.
Enjoy now over ice or leave in the refrigerator to cool and enjoy later.
