You know what else Logan Paul did?
Just a summary before my main point:
- Aside from his “suicide awareness” fiasco with his Aokigahara video that he took down, I saw how disrespectful he was in his other videos.
- The cherry on top was the aforementioned suicide forest fiasco because (1.) Logan Paul filmed a dead body and rather than do something it was more like he had priorities in filming his reactions along with his friends, (2.) Logan Paul had actually gone through editing the video, which I would know it can take hours to finish, and posted it on YouTube.
Also. A Japanese tweeted this and it was just complete and utter disappointment of what he was doing in Japan.
First of all, if you watched the videos, you should not—absolutely do not behave like that in Japan.
The thing is, I didn’t know much about this guy until my news feed from my different social media platforms exploded.
Now normally, I don’t go about just rioting what he did wrong—there’s already thousands who’ve pointed it out, thank you.
But my breaking point, why I had to speak up here?
The video in this tweet.
There’s also a different kind of awareness of what Logan Paul just did wrong that I need to address.
He threw an old game console. Inside and outside of the shop. That, and he was being a nuisance in public. In Japan, if I may add.
It might be stupid or hilarious that I would kind of get “upset” about that, but I’ve studied Japan, the Japanese language and culture. Even non-living things, they respect and care for it.
When I saw him doing that, this disrespect is as equal to some racist pulling off the hijab of a Muslim woman. It’s a cultural sin when you disrespect things in Japan. Because look at 99% of their things. It’s near perfection. A perfect example is in this video https://youtu.be/i_YyFlptWik and just skip to 4:35 because this guy explains it better and maybe you’ll also have more appreciation of Japan, or just additional knowledge about it.
To summarize my main point, I’d just say, Logan Paul was ignorant on how to behave in Japan and he probably offended the entire nation with his actions.
I mean, considering that a lot of Japanese are Twitter users, I could guess that the statistics of his other videos being circulated and showed how he behaved in Japan, Logan Paul offended people by the millions already.
On a side note, he did have a good important point to have suicide awareness because I do have depression myself, and where I’m from, my shit hole country doesn’t have much of that. Yes, in my third world country it doesn’t have much. (Most people here will actually look at you like you’re just being dramatic). So maybe if people saw how much of the deaths are heavy and real, maybe even our government here would fund rehabilitation centers or something rather than just kill off people who do drugs. (Yeah, that country with a president who dissed Obama).
Anyway, I hope people in general should learn from this face-palming mistake and disrespectful behavior, and we won’t see another person being stupid in a foreign country and uploading it on YouTube for shits and giggles or whatnot.
