a/n; my god this is the shittiest thing i have ever written but alas here we are
The office was buzzing with excitement when Y/n walked in bright and early. It was odd, she’s never seen her employees so happy and full of life at 7 am before, but she found it oddly refreshing.
She greeted a few girls as she passed their respective cubicles, noticing how they were talking and giggling a little more than usual. They were new though, and they haven’t gotten used to they way Y/n runs things around here.
All work and no play.
Sure, she knew she wasn’t the most fun boss to work under, but her way of work is what got her to be the CEO at the young age of 25, so she considered it effective, no matter what her employees said about her behind her back.
“What’s with all the excitement today?” She asked as she approached her assistant, Alicia. “Did we get the deal with Versace or something?”
Alicia looked up from her computer with a smirk, “Not yet.”
“Then I don’t understand?” She asked, crossing her arms over her chest. “What’s everyone so happy about?”
“We’re just happy to see our boss happy.” Alicia hummed, “There was a pretty big delivery for you about twenty minutes ago, secret admirer, perhaps?”
With the mention of a package, Y/n glanced through the windows into her office to see a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for her, size almost taking up her entire desk.
“Hand delivered by a cute boy too,” Alicia added. “Did Ms. Stone Cold CEO finally turn soft?”
Y/n shrugged before turning away without another word, deciding she should let Alicia continue with her work. She flipped her lights on before shutting the door and making her way over to the flowers.
punk isn’t one thing and the notion that it is is absolutely ridiculous. there’s so many different ways you can interpret and express yourself like a punk! it’s never been limited!! even looking back at the 70s-80s, you look back and you see so much diversity and different forms of expressions of punk! you have the more classic, simple and stereotypical style like joe strummer or sid vicious, you have the big mohawk and pierced up punks, you have more almost ‘preppy’ looking punks like debbie harry, you have goth punks like siouxsie sioux, more bright and fashion-centric punk like vivienne westwood. there’s punk rock, there’s ska, there’s grindcore, there’s new wave, there’s crust, there’s street, there’s so much diversity and individuality and that’s what makes it fan fucking tastic! there has never been one big definitive punk style is so old and tired and untrue. you shouldn’t limit yourself cause something ‘isnt punk enough’.
I don't want this to sound rude but a 13 year old should be able to go to bed on their own with minimal struggle. (I don't follow you, just found your blog through parenting tag). Something is wrong there.
Um…yes, thus my complaint post about it.
But? If I didn’t already know that there was a problem that we needed to work on and have the tools to create positive change, your message would bring nothing but anxiety and shame so…maybe consider your words to strangers on the internet, yeah?
And not that it’s your business or that you asked, but Pete has a story that makes change hard. He just got home from a trip out of town. He has life-long sensory issues, and new sheets, and is riding a growth spurt. His body feels wrong to him. He has ADHD, and settling at night alone is actually very hard for him, on his best day, which last night was not.
So. Slow your roll, and remember that the blogs hanging out in the tags are actual human people talking about actual humans whom they love, even if they are real frustrated at the moment.
