Chris my family just moved & it’s very stressful on everyone. Like every one of us is having an attitude and taking it out on each other as we adjust to school/work/culture shock. I feel really lost in life some days and it’s putting me in the worst mood. I used to be an avid exerciser and healthy eater but lately I’ve been resorting to old binge/overeating habits and have no motivation to move my body even though ik I NEED to to get rid of this funk. I just don’t know what to do w my life rn
hey anon. first of all – if your entire family is experiencing this too, maybe it’s a good idea to propose sitting down together and talking things through? and addressing the fact that everyone has been on edge, and finding ways to work through this with one another? because the stress in your household alone could be causing so many other negative things to come up in other parts of your life. also, it may help to reach out for professional help…counseling/therapy could really help you a lot right now as you navigate a new place/new people/etc. hang in there, i promise things will be okay.
basically my life has sucked mega ass since i moved to Seattle and i’ve been dealing with large amounts of stress, anxiety, depression, all the fun mental shit.
with some guidance from my awesome family and one special girl 🤟🏽😗, i’ve decided that getting out of this huge expensive city and moving closer to family is exactly what i need.
school and work and financial stability and shit, i’ll figure all that out later. for now, it’s about rescuing myself, taking care of myself, and getting my priorities together.
family is important to ya girl. and i’m important to them, too. i’ve gotta remember that.
i’ll keep y’all updated on this adventure. right now everything is planned for the first weekend of January.
i’m already happier than i have been in almost six months.
