The current BW scene isn’t great, but it’s not like it will die anytime soon. You have to note that every team left is backed by a major corporation. About SCBW progamers transitioning to SC2, most progamers who transitioned either needed the money (MVP is a big example of this), or just wanted a new challenge (NaDa).
They still hit #1 ratings on important games. But sponsors are still dropping out. Even sponsoring BW is getting less and less lucrative for a lot of sponsors. The “medium” sponsors are dropping out of e-Sports because it’s simply not financially worth it any more. If BW isn’t worth it, then SC2 wont’ be worth it, unless you’re going for a more global reach. Not many of the BW sponsors are very global atm.
I don’t know. I think SC2’s draw is the global reach, and I hope to see sponsors hopping on to them with this in mind. If global companies like Samsung, LG, Korean Air, (aka esports friendly corporations) start jumping in, SC2 could last quite a bit.
Personal thoughts: I think he is overreacting a bit. Many people were interested in what he had to say regardless of if they thought he was wrong. But then a few people came in going nuts over it calling him retarded and he quits. Very unfortunate. He did a lot for the foreign community keeping us up to date. But when you release something as contraversial as that. You should expect some harsh backlash. Especially since he said sc2 isnt an esport and some other pretty lame stuff like his definition of esports.
Gonna miss him as he was the “bridge” as the reliable source of korean info but he left in a very bad way so i have bothing more to say than goodbye.
What are your thoughts on this? Miss him? Or good riddance?
I’m alive. I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t been blogging. Never knew that the human body is so intriguing. I’ve been enjoying class a lot, except for that one time the person sitting a seat away from me was eating an apple or something and when she bit down on it, the juices came flying into my face. I was grossed out but I didn’t want to make a quick movement to wipe my face because I didn’t want to make her feel bad. That’s just really gross and how it flew so far!
I went to a Korean market the other day and guess what I found! Milkis~~!!! I’ve had the original flavor and the melon one, but never had the strawberry one. I’ve noticed there’s other flavors in other countries but they haven’t gotten to the US yet.
The flavors they have are: original, strawberry, melon, orange, apple, mango, banana, peach, and pineapple. I believe the newest flavors to the group are banana and orange. Out of the three flavors I’ve tried, I still like the original one the best. Wonder what the other ones taste like. =]
So disappointed with myself..
The most fun day of the week is always FRIDAY , know why? well I still don’t know why but it’s the best day every week. We always go hang out on fridays and do some stuff that usually are weird, interesting and really fun.
Just this afternoon after our class on Plane/Spherical Trigonometry, we headed to the University Square to get our stomach full and as usual, we always drive crazy on every thing FelixMalicsi says. After that, we went to the Grandstand and took some pictures and play some old pinoy games like Patintero and Ice, Ice Water (chorva!) we really had a good time and we spent it well(we do! I think we were there for an hour and a half something. My classmates got their CENTENNIAL SHIRT (which we payed from our 1st semester and it’s really late if you’d ask me) and so we headed to gate 1 to go home. I suddenly remembered that I lost my Binder which all my notes in all my subjects are being filled in their so I went to the SWAFO’s office because there was some instinct or whatever that came to me that it might be there so I went directly there and I happily went out with my BINDER! (The whole story of getting my unnamed binder is pretty long, better not tell it anymore) after that we bought some MILKIS that we enjoyed a lot!(I was the one who told them about that, I WAS THE FIRST!) and so after we bought those snacks and others we board the jeepney and as always, we are really loud and wild because again of FelixMalicsi. Then I went home pretty safe and prayed also for their safety.
Milkis is a drink that is only offered by 7eleven here in the Philippines. Although you can also find them in Korean stores. But now, whenever I drink it, I remember someone. :)) So I think for me to be able to forget that someone, God’s always making it unavailable. There’s a 7eleven outlet on the way to our residence and whenever I plan to buy Milkis they always tell me it is not available or out of stock. Haha! But I miss…I miss…drinking my fave drink. =)) Not that–I mean, yes, I also miss that particular person but I’d rather drink my milkis so yea! HAHAHA!
After work, we went to Montreal to eat! We ate Korean food, then I bought banana milks and Milkis in the Korean market I always go to to finish our day in a new Korean bakery I recently found with my friend and we ate a strawberry bingsu! A lot of Korean things haha! It was nice ^^
I finally did something of my life beside work and school! Friday, it’ll make three times in a week!
