🌌 last kiss (taylor swift) // driver's license (olivia rodrigo) 🌌
"I don't think you should wait. I think you should.... Speak Now." On this date, 5 years ago today, Taylor brought to us Speak Now. And gave us songs like, "Dear John", "Back to December", "Mean", "ENCHANTED", "Haunted", "LAST KISS" "LONG LIVE"! Like there's no way to ever get over these amazing songs. We all still celebrate at 1:58am on July 9th for Last Kiss. Lol. This was the first album I really could relate to of hers, with pretty much every song, because I had my own John, and I knew what it was like, and still to this day, I'm still Haunted and Enchanted by that guy. And because I was really learning all that people will ever be is "Mean". She's honestly been there for me through it all. And it's so amazing to have an artist's music you can truly relate to. Her music is the music I hold closest to my heart because I know what these things are like, and knew how she felt, because I really experienced them on my own. I wouldn't want to spend these times with anyone else. I have the time of my life fighting dragons with you, Taylor! 💜 @taylorswift
this song... i just, i can't even.
"I still remember the look on your face Lit through the darkness at 1:58 The words that you whispered for just us to know You told me you loved me So why did you go away I do recall now the smell of the rain Fresh on the pavement I ran off the plane That July 9th, the beat of your heart That jumps through your shirt I can still feel your arms But now, I'll go Sit on the floor wearing your clothes All that I know is I don't know How to be something you miss I'd never thought we'd have our last kiss I'd never imagined we'd end like this Your name, forever the name on my lips I do remember the swing of your step The life of the party, you're showing off again And I roll my eyes and then you pull me in I'm not much for dancing, but for you I did Because I love your handshake, meeting my father I love how you walk with your hands in your pockets How you kiss me when I was in the middle of sayin' something There's not a day I don't miss those rude interruptions And I'll go Sit on the floor wearing your clothes All that I know is I don't know How to be something you miss I'd never thought we'd have our last kiss I'd never imagined we'd end like this Your name, forever the name on my lips
So I'll watch your life in pictures like I used to watch you sleep And I feel you'll forget me like I used to feel you breathe And I'll keep up with our old friends just to ask them how you are I hope it's nice where you are
And I hope the sun shines and it's a beautiful day And something reminds you, you wished you had stayed You can plan for a change in weather and town But I never planned on you changing your mind So I'll go Sit on the floor wearing your clothes All that I know is I don't know How to to be something you miss I never thought we'd have our last kiss I never imagined we'd end like this Your name, forever the name on my lips Just like our last kiss Forever the name on my lips Forever the name on my lips Just like our last"
I DO RECALL NOW THE SMELL OF THE RAIN FRESH ON THE PAVEMENT I RAN OFF THE PLANE THAT JULY NINTH THE BEAT OF YOUR HEART IT JUMPS THROUGH YOUR SHIRT I CAN STILL FEEL YOUR ARMS
