Husband!Mark x pregnant!reader
Warning: some sexy time (please do not read if you are under age!) and birth. Also it’s long😰
To say you were shocked to find out you were pregnant was an understatement. You had only been married for a year and just fully moved into an apartment with your best friend/love of your life. You and Mark met right after graduating high school and became friends through your last years of being teens. Then in your early twenties you confessed to each other and began dating. Best 2 years ever and were even better when on your 3rd anniversary Mark popped the question to you. The boy had been on edge when it came to proposing, his older members reassured him and encouraged him that it would all go well.
“I mean this is Y/n we’re talking about. I’m surprised you didn’t do it earlier.” Johnny joked with the frantic boy. Well he was right because later that year you two had a sweet and small wedding. So now here you are just reaching a full year of marriage and a new member was on its way. You both talked about having kids, Mark was all for having kids as long as you were. You definitely had kids on your mind, especially when Mark would go to your family Christmas gatherings. He was always on the floor playing you small cousins while your older cousins gushed over him.
“Y/n I’m telling you, if you don’t marry that boy soon I will make you two get married.” Well safe to say they were ecstatic when the wedding invitations came in. But now…you were carrying a baby of your own. One with your DNA and the love of your life’s DNA. Was it too soon? You both just moved into a bigger apartment so…maybe it was a sign?
“Babe? Where are ya?” Mark’s voice echoed throughout the hallway as he looked for you. Then he saw the lights on in your shared bathroom along with a distressed you.
“Hey, what happened? You didn’t hurt yourself moving a box?! I told you I would get those-“
“Mark honey…” there you slide the test over to him making him freeze in place. Well you couldn’t lie…you both had been trying for sometime now…just didn’t think it would’ve been this soon.
“I-is this real? Are we really- are YOU really?” You slowly nodded your head up and down while running your hands up Mark’s tensed arms.
“You’re not mad are you?” Mark quickly turned to you with that wide eyed look. As if you just told the biggest lie,
“Mad?! Mad?! Baby we’ve been wanting this for some time now. I just can’t believe that it’s actually happening! We’re going to be parents!” You had tears welling up in your eyes as you witness your husband’s demeanor change. He really was ecstatic about the new family member growing in your tummy. You both made the appointment at the doctor’s to confirm, confirm, there was indeed a baby hanging out in you. Sure enough the pictures arrived and to your surprise your little bean had been growing in you for some time now. You were just about to reach your second month of pregnancy when you announced your expecting to the boys and your family. Since that announcement the boys came over to help unpack the rest of your things. Mark refused to let you lift anything with your little bean growing in you and because the morning sickness began to kick in. You absolutely hated the morning sickness because it really didn’t happen in the morning…nights, afternoons, evenings, maybe the morning?
“It’s okay baby, let it all out. I got you.” Mark was literally the best boy ever when it came to morning sickness. Always there to comfort you, wash you up, made sure your hair was out of your face, just the absolute greatest. But he hated seeing you like this, any time you got sick he panicked. Especially in the beginning of you two dating, he really panicked then. But of course as time went on he learned how you operate when sick and tried to calm himself down for you. “Gosh how many more months of this crap?! I feel like I might puke the baby up.” Mark chuckled while cleaning your face off. “The doctor said it should be ending soon and you’ll be able to function again. I’m sure little man’s hanging in there.” You looked at mark with a smirk,
“So you think it’s a boy.” He chuckled while looking down at the floor. He was caught.
“Well…I did read something about if you have really bad morning sickness it means you’ll have a boy so…” you giggled at his cute confession and placed a peck on his cheek. That explains why he was up countless hours on his phone, he was researching.
“What if we find out there’s two…”
“Babe please don’t go there. I’m just now coming to the conclusion we made a baby in the first place.” Ah there’s your stressed out husband. You apologized and kissed his cheek before heading back to unpack the little things. Months went by and you were getting bigger and bigger by the second. Mark couldn’t believe how beautiful you looked even if you couldn’t see your feet anymore. Even when you felt like you gained a million pounds Mark just saw you as you only with a creation made by you both growing in your swollen tummy.
“Y/n! Sit down please, I need to see something.” Mark quickly came up to you one day, guitar in hand and phone in the other. That means he’s been reading something on the internet again and he wanted to test it. You huffed and sat back in the bed in your shared room while your husband sat in front of you and began to strum on his guitar. He started to sing a Tori Kelly song you danced at your wedding to. Fond memories came rushing back as his sweet voice echoed through your ears. You remember looking into his shiny wide eyes, gentle lips pressed to the side of your temple while holding you so close to each other. You knew you made the right decision marrying a boy like him. No one could ever take his place. You could see yourself being in this spot in life, raising a family with him. It made you fall even more in love with him.
But suddenly you felt something move in you making you snap out of your thoughts and looking down at your tummy.
“Did you see that! Something moved across your stomach!” You looked at your swollen belly and saw along with felt your baby move.
“Oh my gosh! Play it again or something!” Mark began to sing and strum his guitar and sure enough there was a little fist running across your tummy.
“Baby’s moving! Oh my gosh, he really can hear us!”
“Was this another article test of your’s?” Mark chuckled and nodded while placing a gentle hand on your tummy. There was a fist again only it stopped under Mark’s hand. You and Mark looked at each other in shock before he grabbed your hand and put it on the spot. There’s the fist again, and it stopped under your hand. You started to tear up at another realization that your baby indeed was in you and knew you. It didn’t really click in your brain till that day.
You and Mark spent countless hours talking to your baby and singing to your baby. Your baby reacted to your voices and soon enough to all of your movements. You were now at the point in your pregnancy that your baby refused to sit still. If you laid back, so did your baby, causing you to lose the air in your lungs. Poor Mark almost had a heart attack the first time it happened. You were just about to get comfortable and fall asleep when something stretched itself out on your lungs. Your eyes snapped open and you were gasping for air while reaching out for husband. Mark sat up quickly asking what was happening and helped you up so you could breathe again,
“Are you okay?! What happened?” Mark kept holding your hand while you finally got a hold of your breath before giggling a bit. You looked at your intertwined hands before giving him a reassuring squeeze.
“Little man decided he wanted to stretch out against my lungs and took my air away.” Mark was still worried but you thought it was funny. Mark scolded you for laughing at his worried look, he was just making sure you and the baby were okay. It’s not a laughing matter. You apologized to him and gave him plenty of kisses, he eventually forgave you and returned the favor. As for the baby well…Mark gave him a talking to.
“You can’t hurt your mommy like that, she’s gotta rest too. So watch what you do, let her sleep tonight okay buddy?” You shook your head after Mark left a little peck on your tummy. But your baby responded with his hand running down the side of your tummy. Your eyes widened while Mark kissed the side of your head before helping you back in bed. You already felt the favoritism appearing after that.
“Traitor. I’m the one carrying you and I’ll be feeding you! Ugh that’s not fair.” All your baby did was stick his foot up against your belly before going still. Unbelievable, Mark gets a fist while you just get a foot. And the kid wasn’t even born yet! You jokingly shoved Mark’s shoulder making him turn to you asking you what’s wrong. You just glared at him before looking away and pout.
“What did I do?” No answer. Mark just shook his head before curling up behind you and cradle your tummy.
Some more time went by, you did confirm there was only one baby, it was indeed a boy, making Mark sigh in relief and making you lose to a bet to your husband. But soon your hormones got to you towards the finish line of your pregnancy. You were touched deprived. It’s not that you and Mark didn’t get a little physical early, early, on in your pregnancy but now you were huge and you couldn’t exactly reach yourself anymore nor could you and Mark figure out how to do it with an almost full size baby in your tummy. That’s mainly why Mark didn’t want to do anything in that way. He claims since the baby can hear you both he didn’t want your baby to be scarred of his parents getting a little too comfortable with him in between you two.
“Maaaaaarrrrkkkkk please! I just need some relief.”
“Y/n, your pregnant. Our son will be here soon, he’s getting exposed to that so early in his life!” You glared at your husband more while running a hand up and down your tummy. You just wanted him to touch you not actually whip it out and insert it in you. Like you said, you can’t really reach yourself or do anything at this point. You looked down are your swollen baby knowing he was probably listening in on this conversation.
“Can you just look away, mommy needs some private time with daddy.” Now it was Mark’s turn to glare at you. You simply bit your lip and gave him the best innocent smile possible. Your husband shook his head while going back to writing some new music for the group. Ever since that day of talking to your baby he was hit with inspiration to write. He spent countless nights up writing while taking care of you, of course. You were a priority. You were so impressed that your husband was so dedicated to his work even so many years into his career with a growing family of his own. Now if he could just get inspired to help you out that would make you love him even more.
“Mark baby please…the doctor even said it was good to get labor started! You can contribute to helping the arrival of our son!” Wow your hormones were really getting to you. You would never asked for this three months ago. You wouldn’t even let him sleep too close behind you because you didn’t want him to get riled up.
“Y/n…you have 2 weeks left before his due date. We’re not starting labor now. And for your information I have contributed to this preganancy…as in I helped you put little man there in the first place. Plus I’m not even ready for labor yet. We haven’t even packed the hospital bag!” You grabbed your husband’s hand and put it on your thigh making it run up higher and higher till you had it where you wanted it. But nope, Mark snatched his hand away and kissed your cheek.
“Nice try but no. I’m not scarring our baby.”
“You’re no fun.” Mark chuckled again and kissed your lips this time before getting up.
“You won’t be saying that once we can get back to having fun. C’mon, lets go walk to the ice cream stand and get you something sweet.” At this you were up and grabbing one of Mark’s hoodies before heading outside. Mark just shook his head before helping you put your shoes on. While walking back to your apartment after picking up a sweet treat Mark noticed a little stuffed animal stand filled with Disney characters.
“You know we haven’t gotten him any plushies for his crib. Should we?” You saw the bright colors and happy smiles of the favorite characters from both your childhoods’ before nodding your head. You already had the perfect one picked out. It fit the theme of your son’s nursery to begin with. A sweet little yellow bear everyone knew and loved made its new home in your son’s crib when you got back home. Now you couldn’t wait to meet your little bear soon.
And so two weeks went by, your due date arrived…and no baby. It didn’t worry the two of you because due dates aren’t always the magic number. But when another week past and the pain in your back grew you knew this wasn’t a good sign.
“Well you’re almost fully dilated, Mrs. Lee. Baby is in the right position. But he’s just a little too comfy in you.” You groaned at the new update explaining why your son hasn’t made his arrival yet.
“What can we do to help him?” Mark asked while helping you up.
“Keep walking, use your exercise ball, eat spicy foods, maybe even try intercourse.” You gave Mark an ‘I told you’ look as he rolled his eyes before walking you out the room.
So more walks happened, you spent your whole day sitting on the the ball, but you were not feeling any changes.
“Mark he’s still not working his way out. Didn’t we do everything on the list?”
“Well yes except for-“
“Having sex right? Okay let’s go to the bed and try it.”
“Woah there, that’s not what I was getting at. I meant we haven’t tried spicy food.” You groaned again at your husband’s comment. He really was a kill joy. How in the world did you even get a baby in you in the first place?
Mark called Yuta and Ten asking about the spiciest food they knew in their realm but all of the dishes didn’t work. You were in disbelief. Was your son just so used to spicy food that he just wanted more before exiting you?!
“I still don’t feel anything.” You said placing your plate down before giving your husband the look.
“No we’re not having sex.”
“Mark c’mon! It’s not like this is first time we’ve done it!”
“It is the first time doing it with my 9 month pregnant wife. And I still don’t feel comfortable doing it when his little face is in the spot to begin with.” You grabbed your husband’s hands sinking your face into his neck while whining like a child yourself.
“Mark please, I’m desperate here. Not even sexually, I mean pregnant wise, I need to have it because our baby needs help. Not only are you satisfying your needs but your helping our son come into this world.” Mark still was not having it by the look on his face. So he simply wrapped an arm around your shoulder, laying his head on your’s while you were on the verge of tears. He wasn’t trying to be a bad husband not help you, he wanted the baby to come just as much as you. But he just didn’t feel as though it would be comfortable for any one of you, including the baby.
“How about…I find another spicy food we haven’t tried yet and IF that doesn’t work…wecantrytohavesex.” You made a deal knowing fully you will get your way. You couldn’t wait to see the look on his when proven that the baby wasn’t going to come after another spicy dish.
So Mark searches far and wide on the internet desperate to find something. You proudly sat back while he struggled to find something. Again, it’s not that you were desperate to have sex with your husband, he definitely satisfied your needs in your pregnancy without being physical. You were just at the point in your pregnancy where it was downright painful carrying your son. You didn’t want to be induced, you wanted his arrival to be natural. So you were trying your best to avoid that. Unless it came down to medically it had to happen then you will do it. But other than that, you were in the clear.
Just when you thought you were about to get your way Mark jumped up in surprise. He found something absolutely perfect for you. He found a pasta dish called ‘The Eviction Notice’ and it was made specifically for pregnant women like you. It had all the right spices and everything to help induce labor.
“And women themselves have left reviews?”
“Yep! Even the owner’s wife said it worked for all her pregnancies. We gotta get it babe. It’s a guarantee that you’ll have the baby after eating it.” Well you can’t argue with that.
So the next day Mark came home with the dish and a prayer that this will work. He just wanted you to be out of pain, he hated that this was the one time he couldn’t help you feel better. He loved you and would literally move mountains for you if it made you happy but this was one mountain he just couldn’t get to budge…literally.
“Alright little man, if you don’t start moving after this you’re going to make mommy and daddy very sad. Please come out.” You giggled at the desperation in your husband’s voice before taking a seat on your ball while twirling that first bite of pasta on your fork.
“Here we go.” And took a bite. Not bad for a spicy pasta. In fact it made want to eat more and more. Mark watched every move and facial expression you made as you ate. It was when you placed your plate on the table and ready to make your complaint when something felt different. Mark’s eyes widened as you started to feel around your tummy. You felt at though your contractions were now feeling like actual contractions rather than your fake out ones. Mark was by your side in an instant when you start let out a little cry of pain.
“I think he’s coming. Something feels- OW- really weird.” Your grabbed Mark’s hand while trying to slow your breathing down but the contractions were firing up big time.
“Okay I don’t like the way your face is scrunching up. We need to go, I’ll grab the bag. Can you call the hospital?” Mark was all over the places while you grabbed your phone and dialed the number. Even though you felt like you were on the verge of exploding you were so excited! He’s finally arriving! You and Mark will finally get to see, touch, and hold your baby instead looking at him through pictures, screens, and the occasional fist across the tummy. The whole car ride over you held Mark’s hand trying not to scream out in pain since the contractions were getting intense. Your husband encouraged you the whole way, telling you it’s all going to be okay. He’ll be there the whole time and soon you’ll get to see your son. You both made it to the hospital, checking in, and getting set up in your room. Now you were in a new environment which didn’t help your nerves. Contractions were really consistent and soon enough you felt something wet run down your leg.
“O-oh my gosh, it’s happening. Oh my gosh, Mark. Mark he’s- ow!” Your husband quickly helped you into your bed again reassuring you it’s going to be okay and he’s still right there next you. Now you really couldn’t help but scream out in pain as your insides were, literally, pushing your baby out. Everyone was there ready to help deliver your son, your husband squeezed your hand while helping you get into a pushing position.
“Mark I can’t do it! I can’t-“
“Yes you can, you made it this far. You’re almost done okay? He’ll be here soon we just gotta do this last thing so he can get here.” You we’re ready just to collapse and cry. You were so exhausted, you get you’ve been pushing for hours. But you can feel your baby almost there, you could feel the love and encouragement of your husband and doctors. You felt that urge to finally see your son, so with that energy you gave it all your might and felt relief once you saw Mark’s face light up with joy. Tears were forming in his eyes once you heard that ear piercing cry and the ‘congratulations it’s a boy!’. There he was, your little bear. The product of you and Mark. He was crying so much till you had him on your chest. His cries soothed once he felt your warmth.
“You did it baby! I’m so proud of you, so proud of you!” Mark kisses the side of your head before admiring the little human trying to open his little eyes. You let out a little sob of joy once you saw him look up at you and smile. He knew who you are, he knew who his dad was. After so long and all the fun you had while he grew you all finally got to see each other properly.
Your son was weighed, cleaned up, and checked over before being left with you and Mark finally. You two shared the bed while talking and loving on your son.
“He’s got your big round eyes.”
“Yeah well he has your nose.” You both chuckled while Mark ran his finger over the baby’s tiny foot. Mark couldn’t believe you really carried this tiny baby in you much less push him out of you. Or the fact that it felt like yesterday when you two found out your little man was soon to make his appearance in 9 months. It felt so different now that he’s actually here, moving, making noises, reaching out for the two of you. After convincing you to rest Mark held your son near the hospital window, talking to him and holding as close as he could.
“I’m so happy you’re here little man. You gave your mom and I a hard time y’know.” Mark chuckled to himself as your son wrapped his tiny hand around your husband’s finger.
“I love you so much. Your mommy loves you so much too. We promise to keep loving no matter what. Okay?” You couldn’t help but listen in on his conversation with your son. Tears prickled in your eyes, you hope your son grows up to be just as great as his dad. There’s no other like Mark, no one who you could imagine doing life with other than him. Soon you heard your husband’s sweet voice echo lightly throughout the room as you watched your favorite boys bond.
“I love you both so much.”
a/n: I thought I’d never see the day where I actually wrote a story about Mark being a dad😂but oooooof I’ve been in my Mark feels lately. So thank you if you did read this! I hope it made your day a little bit better💙
