turning cartwheels through soft
summer grass bending blades
to forest green stains on skin
warmed by july afternoons
picking queen anne’s lace
dabbed with watercolours
into multi-hued bouquets
my favorite matching the sky
a deep blue delphinium
the scent of summer touches
twirling across time with the taste
of iceless lemonade
plucked and squeezed
for the juice of a fresh new july
I’m looking into occult/new age/whatever wholesale companies trying to decide if at some point I’ll be able to expand to pick up other items I might feel comfortable selling. It’s hard to take a company that sells this stuff seriously when the have on their website a section called “alter items” instead of “altar”.
It’s tricky because so much of this stuff is just made in factories out of the country and comes from questionable origins. I think I had a physical witch shop it would end up looking like a junk shop of random stuff I found a thrift stores and just happens to have books.
I’ll be real, I’m just looking at boxes of chime candle, candle holders, charcoal discs. I don’t even care about all the cheap athames and chalices, or the rampant cultural appropriation of “smudge” sticks and namaste flags. The sites are really gross.
Driving selfie! (I’m the passenger currently lol). About an hour away from Downtown Disney. The drive down here is always great…not looking forward to the same journey homeward tho 😂 (at least we’re only going halfway tonight - staying with some friends for the weekend).
A really lovely friend of mine orders some items for me off Etsy and when I got them there was was a gift invoice but with no name beside a nice note from the shop owner. I didn’t know who sent it and finally realized who it was. The thing is that I don’t know how all this stuff is supposed to be used together because there’s no information or instructions. Are these two candles part of one spell? Or are they part of two spells? Are they bonus items? There are bonus items of stones and incense and herbs.
So, I emailed the shop owners to see if there was anything binding any of the spells or ingredients together because I’m just going to pull everything apart and use it as I want for different spell work.
If you are selling spell kits you might want to send some sort of instructions or a break down of items and what they are for. Also, if you are sending loose incense you might want to include a charcoal disc and instructions and safety on how to use it, ditto for chime candles and an option for candle holders.
