Grief is hard, it’s so different losing someone to a tragedy than watching them fade.
It’s so much easier when there’s a plug to be pulled.
Something we can quantify in our little lizard brains and come to accept before the end.
“Oh it was their time to go, they’ve been battling it for years”
“They were old, it was only a matter of time.”
Now I know that rage of missing a goodbye—not even expecting to even need one until it’s too late.
Until time is gone.
Hug your loved ones close tonight, maybe send a text to that friend/relative you haven’t seen in a while.
Even the ones you don’t expect to be gone by morning
