Hey, so, remember when my dishwasher died? I was on vacation at the time, which left a load of dirty dishes in a stagnant pool of water for four days in August.
Who wants to guess how that turned out? Hint: It was pretty dang nasty.
I was able to bleach and clean most of what was in there, but among what I couldn’t save were almost all of my chopsticks. Since they were wood and bamboo, I wasn’t going to risk the chance that I hadn’t managed to kill the mold, so pretty much all of them went into the trash.
Now, they weren’t expensive, just pretty ones with designs on the handles and a couple that were carved wood, ect. I prefer the wood/bamboo ones to plastic ones, which I find heavy and difficult to grip anything with.
But the little Korean market where I bought almost my whole stock has gone out of business, and I’m having trouble locating a good source online, because almost everything I find is overseas, and that is super cool but I feel really stupid having chopsticks flown in from China or Japan, like, that seems like a huge waste.
So, does anyone happen to know a good online site where I can buy some niceish chopsticks? I feel stupid asking, but man. I miss my little bamboo chopsticks with the flowers on the handles.
Any help in locating a source would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! 8)
