heyeyyy i decided to post the properties of my favorite gemstones on here because i often forget their properties, and i’d like to start this series with my soul stone, OPAL!
innocence ○ happiness ○ purity ○ light ○ hope
precious opals carry an intense spiritual energy, magnifying emotions and allowing for deep inner work.
many cultures revealed the opal for it’s ability to open the mind and visions, so it’s good for clairvoyance. they are highly conductive for attracting and connecting angels and the divine. they are antidotes to restless thoughts and racing minds that rehash the past or anticipate the future. they have a soothing effect for children and young souls. In ancient times, they have been worn by girls to enhance their beauty.
Many ancients believed the Storm God, jealous of the Rainbow God, broke the rainbow into pieces and when it fell to the earth it became a part of the Opal, reflecting the “rainbow fire.”. According to another myth, Opals were believed to be Zeus’ tears of joy after the victory over the Titans.

if you’re drawn to a certain crystal, it’s because the crystal possesses helpful properties to the problems you’re having in your life.
for example if you’re having trouble focusing or have adhd, you might find yourself attracting stones like aquamarine and lapis laluzi that enhance your ability to concentrate. so like, buy the crystal if you can lol
Hi there. You might not know this but if you come across a crystal called “Bumblebee Jasper” I advise you not to buy it unless you have knowledge of toxic crystals. It might have a very cute name, but don’t let it fool you.
First of all, Bumblebee Jasper is a trade name for Orpiment which is an arsenic sulfide mineral (Yes, you heard right, this cute looking rock contains arsenic!) there have been various claims about the origin of this stone, from my sources it is claimed that this stone originates from an erupted volcano in Indonesia, however this doesn’t change much as lab tests indicate that the “non-orpiment” Bumblebee Jasper is still thoroughly packed with Arsenic and Sulfur. That makes this mineral dangerous to handle and it is advised that even in its polished form that you sanitise your hands after handling and under no circumstances should you ingest or lick this rock. (I also advise inexperienced lapidarists to avoid this stone entirely)
Secondly, Bumbleebee Jasper is not a type of Jasper at all, it is a misnomer. There have been sources that say this stone is a type of calcite or variety of agate, however this is not the case at all. Most Bumblebee Jasper that is on the market at the moment is Orpiment with Arsenic and Sulfur.
As always be careful when purchasing your crystals guys, if someone doesn’t specify the true nature of a mineral they are endangering you and others!
