First of all hello yes I do still exist and secondly, I made a Trader Joe’s zine with my dear friend Kevin Fanning (and a lot of others) and it’s available today! It’s $3 US/$4 CAN/$5 International and honestly wouldn’t you rather read this for a day’s commute than scroll through your phone and grind your teeth? All proceeds go to No Kid Hungry. Here’s how you can order. It’s a fun little thing! Remember those?
As promised, KTJ back with some more flyer highlights. Customers pack the aisles and products fly off the shelves as the fall flyer enters its second week out. Two items, in particular, caught our attention:
First up, a new TJ’s frozen item, the Organic Tropical Fruit Blend, a mix of mango, pineapples, bananas, and strawberries that’s sure to set your taste buds a tingling. This is a beautiful addition to TJ’s frozen fruit spread, just add water or your favorite juice and blend her up for a delicious, health-packed smoothie. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, heat it up with coconut oil, almond butter, and a tince of raw honey and serving it over some waffles for breakfast or cinnamon pita crackers for a snack.
Time for lunch? Stay in frozen and check out the Tofu Edamame Nuggets, a delicious vegetarian chicken nugget alternative (unfortunately not vegan). Served with an asian-style dipping sauce, they’re the perfect pair for a quick, light meal.
Cooked with egg, these patties resemble the taste of chicken nuggets so much they had me guessing… right before they had me eating… more and more! Made from tofu, edamame, carrots, and onions, they’re very simply delicious.
