Of course friend! Don’t forget it comes with a side of handsome :p (I’ll let myself out, I don’t know why I’m like this.)
Prompt 66. “How could I ever forget about you?”
Chris was nervous as he sat in the cab on the way to your shared apartment. He’d been gone for so long. You’d both decided to move in together only weeks before he’d left. He hadn’t been able to get a hold of you all day. It pained him to think that perhaps you’d chosen to move on, and he’d show up to a bunch of boxes.
He knew it was probably just his anxious mind, because you love him. You’d told him almost one hundred times the day he left. Thinking about that morning brought a smile to his face.
The sun was streaming in, highlighting all of your features. His nerves woke him up far too early. He’d spent most of the time committing you to memory. Every line of your face, every curve of your body, how your hair fell. To him you were the most beautiful thing in the world.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” you nudged him with your foot, giving him a wink.
“I have a thousand pictures, they just aren’t the same.” he moved closer to you, so that you were nose to nose.
“Charming bastard.” you smiled, as he burst into laughter. “I love you Beck.”
“Oh I’m Beck now??”
“Yeah, Doc. You’ve been awake for how long and there’s no coffee?? What good are ya?” you joked.
“I’ll be right back, lazy.” he gave your bum a smack, before heading the kitchen. You laughed, sitting up and propping the pillows up. A few minutes later he came back, tray in hand. He set it on your lap before climbing in next to you.
“Thanks Baby,” you said, looking over the assortment he put together.
“You’re welcome, gotta spoil ya while I can.” he kissed you cheek, grabbing a piece of toast from the plate.
“I love you…” you said, taking a sip from your mug.
“I love you too.”
“I was talking to the coffee this time.” you giggled at his scrunched up face, before pulling him in for a sweet kiss.
As the cab pulled up to your apartment, he gathered his stuff. His heart was pounding as approached your doorway. Putting the keys in the lock, he found his hands shaking. Before he could turn the key, the door suddenly whipped open, startling him.
“You’re home!!” you shouted, jumping into his arms. He felt relief throughout his whole body as you wrapped yourself around him. He squeezed you just as tight.
“I’m home!!” he croaked, suddenly overwhelmed with emotion.
“I thought you’d forget about me!” you laughed, pulling him and his stuff into your place.
“How could I ever forget about you?” he asked, before you pushed him onto your couch and demanded he tell you everything about the mission and space.
