It’s funny and ironic and curious,

I put the dragon that is my heart,

To sleep long and deep in dreams.

So long it slept peacefully silent,

I grew used to the peace and quiet.

Of course the timing of it’s awakening,

Is absolutely imperfect like my every day,

In my most uncertain fog lost and confused,

Some sounds awaken the creature,

Raising every alarm in my mind and soul.

He just had to wake the dragon,

Some strange force has brought him,

Into the storm that is my inside.

This hungry beast that consumes,

Everything it loves with bright fire,

A roaring like few have ever heard.

But once heard it’s never forgotten.

I cannot control this animal when it’s awake,

Be prepared human for the shaking of the ground,

That will most surely come.
