v3′s ending is really fucking funny out of context bc like imagine watching the newest episode of The Walking Dead and rick grimes or whoever the fuck just stopped in the middle of the show and looked directly into the camera and yelled “STOP FUCKING WATCHING THIS!!! GO HOME!!! STOP WATCHING THIS SHOW IT SUCKS!!! DO YOU LIKE WATCHING PEOPLE DYING??? WE’RE TIRED AS FUCK PLEASE CANCEL THIS SHOW” and all the other characters nod and agree and then stand there doing nothing for 10 minutes until the show gets cancelled like Imagine that. that’s what danganronpa v3 was.
Murder Scenarios Danganronpa hasn’t done yet but they should
A victim dying right in front of the group (by some sort of trap previously set up by the killer) and right after everyone asks if they’re okay, the body discovery announcement plays
The motive being that if you get away with the next murder, you get to take someone else with you when you graduate (@bread-with-sentience came up with this one!)
Somebody killing someone just straight-up by accident
Character A cares a lot about Character B, but not at all about themself or anyone else, so they make a plan (similar to Nagito’s in DR2 chapter 5) to make Character B unknowingly kill someone so they can escape, but then the protag inevitably figures it out and Character A has to live with the fact that they caused the death of the only person they cared about.
The chapter 3 double murders actually having different killers (that both live to participate in the trial) Bonus: they use the rule in V3 that only the first killer is considered blackened, so the second killer doesn’t get executed even though they probably deserve it
A scared character is being guarded by a stronger character who either a) dies defending them from an attacker, b) kills the attacker, or c) is deceiving the scared character and kills them instead
The victim having been dead for way longer than anyone thinks; it was just hidden somewhere strange
More instances of the body discovery announcement playing before the protag finds the body; they only did that once and it was much more alarming than normal
A character actively forcing another character to kill somebody
During the double murder, both bodies are discovered in the same place at the same time, but one of them is actually still alive and they don’t join the trial until the others figure that out
Another double murder one: the second victim is killed as revenge for them killing the first victim
