Lately I’ve been crocheting these facial pads on and off out of cute cotton yarn. I love being able to conveniently clean my face before bed without the splashing ordeal of washing my face like I do in the morning, but throwing out face wipes or those cotton pads just seems kinda soul-crushing so I like to use these.
Did some way too tight in the beginning so they were less absorbent BUT they soften up in the wash either way. Definitely like the puff stitch pattern more though.
when i die, some poor soul is gonna have to figure out what to do with my 20 unfinished projects… do they trash them? is that disrespectful to the dead? do they give them to someone else to finish? is THAT disrespectful to the dead? do they unravel all the work and donate the supplies, or is that, too, disrespectful to the dead? lmao hell if i know buddy but im haunting you regardless if you touch my shit because ghost or not i swear imma finish em… at some point
No lie I started this back in September of 2015! I have learned so much since and although I am happy it’s done it’s tough because there is so much I would do differently if I started it today.
Don’t do what I did and please please make sure all your different yarns are the same thickness not just the same size on the label for any colour work you do!
I am not able to post this to Ravelry as the image is not an original image but I have a pattern for it if people are interested. It includes a chart as well as row by row instructions in a crochet by the numbers type style (please know I did all the pattern building myself, no running the image though some program to spit out the written pattern 😭)
I did a weird thing called emailing a stranger, and long story short we’re looking at a potential alternative to etsy: Indiewool. I’ll reblog a link to the prototype so tumblr won’t eat it.
If you or someone you know sells yarn or fiber crafted items on etsy and are thinking of switching because of the bs fees, get in contact! We need people to help figure out the logistics, and you could help shape how the site is run for vendors.
We also need:
Someone to help with the legal stuff of online selling
Someone to write out all the junk that the site will need (mission statement, shipping standards, etc.)
A social media manager
Advertisement and marketing (which I’m lowkey doing with this post I guess)
Edit: We now have a discord! Link in the notes so tumblr doesn’t nerf me.
Poison Ivy costest with an outfit I made for school. I repurposed yarn from a blanket, skirt, and sweater then restitched it into this. I think I’ll add more details and bring this to a con! This was one of the last pieces I was able to make with my normal worsted weight and fine yarns before my hands got worse.
I think this has the most stitches or anything I’ve made
A managed to make a tonne of progress on this coat in the last few days
I’ve started to make the shoulder pieces, this was a really complicated part to figure out since most of it is hidden on the actual coat. Thankfully after finding a bunch of reference I was able to unpack what was going on.
Each currently has 2 of the 4 layers needed to achieve Loki’s signature look.
Now for bit that been really excited about! Adding the gold pieces. I started with the panels on the base of the coat, since these are the most simple. I’m really glad I bought gold twine as it really sparkles and looks a lot better than wool would. However it’s really expensive (the most expensive part of the project XD)
As usual feel free to reblog! And please consider following me if you want to see the making of this coat :D
Here’s a bonus pic of my cat stealing the spotlight XD
Been playing around with different coloring methods on this one. Didn’t work the way I wanted but was a lot of fun regardless! (Also couldn’t find the larger yellow eye beads I originally picked @.@ ) Still a cutie and I’m proud of how well the body turned out! Turns out this noodle character is actually a larger noodle than I thought but even large noodles were once small! XD
Art and character by @crabbng PLEASE check out their web comic series “Kings of Sorts” when yall get the chance!
It’s finished!!!!! I’ve been working on it off and on for a few years. It’s that project that I toss in a basket at the back of a closet for a few months. I’m so happy I finished! It’s beautiful. And so squishy warm.
Our little Aspect of Time got an update! I have no idea why, but the first time I patterned out Nozdormu I left out his arm spikes, belly spikes and 3rd set of horns on his head?? Again, zero idea why I did that, and all that matters now is he is updated and just as handsome as ever!
