02.02.20. hello!! long time no see:) here’s this semester’s ap micro notebook + flashcards, and some very minimal bujo pages!! econ is my fav class to take notes in, i’ve been slacking in the rest haha ..
Accept your new routine - the measures that were put in place are here for our own good and anger won’t bring back our old lives, it will only make us less happy
Catch up on news two times a day - although it is important to be informed, it is very important to not getoverwhelmed and panicked
Take advantige of opportunites you have - take online courses in something you have always been interested in (coursera has a ton of free courses), learn a new skill or brush up on an old one, workout, read books you haven’t had a chance to
Relax - although a lot of still have a lot of obigations regarding work and school, we still have more free time than we would otherwise and there is apsolutely nothing wrong with doing nothing with it
Connect with family - a lot of us are back home or surrounded by our loved ones more than we would be otherwise, talk, have movie nights, game nights, cook together…
Connect with yourself - spend some time everyday on your own, without any distactions, meditate, journal, write down your feelings, thoughts and wishes
Find a new purpose - for a lot us our day’s, week’s or life’s purpose was going to school or work and we can feel lost without that. That’s why it can be beneficial to find a project to put more energy in and that’s going to get you out of bed in the morning like running a blog, writing a novel, getting in shape..
Be grateful - you are still here, you are alive and breathing. Make sure to think of at list 3 things you are grateful for every day
This is what helps me. Feel free to add anything I’ve missed.
Turn off whatever the hell you’re distracting yourself with. There are apps and browser extensions that can help with this. But please, shut it off now.
Write everything down. Write down whatever you’re stressed about. Get all of it out of your head and onto paper. From this list, make a plan. I don’t care if you can’t finish everything today, plan on doing THREE THINGS that will make your situation better.
Set a timer for 5 minutes. Clear off your workspace, put some comfy clothes on, and get whatever you need to get into a productive headspace.
At the end of your 5 minute timer, you NEED to start working on whatever it is you’re putting off. Literally, just start. Don’t think twice about it. I know work isn’t always fun, but it will feel a million times better than putting it off and feeling terrible.
Allow this very second to be your ‘reset’. Don’t wait for next week or tomorrow or in an hour.
RIGHT NOW is your fresh start.
RIGHT NOW is your blank slate.
There is absolutely nothing stopping you from taking control and getting your shit done.
back to posting!! hello, hello, nice to see u all again!! i know a lot of schools are closed, both in the us and internationally, so i hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. due to my lil unscheduled hiatus, i have a lot of spreads and content coming up soon!! if ur off school/work, or working from home, is there anything u have planned??
i read “a little life” by hanya yanagihara a few weeks ago and i can’t stop thinking about it. i made a bullet journal spread to express my feelings and a playlist as well. i wish i could put the book in these pictures but i’ve already lent it to a friend !
17/04/2020 • this post is technically a lie because the right photo is from yesterday (I actually got dressed for dinner, shocker), but the left photo is just some of my favourite pens for bullet journaling, featuring a lot of sage green (I’m obsessed!).
12.05.2020 // finally i got myself going and actually did something for uni. i had 4h of online seminars and i’m nearly finished with my presentation about the importance of Carmen Balcells in the construcction of the latin-american literature.
