It had been so long since Astr had seen his mate, his bound, intended. Years had passed, and though he had searched and searched, something had kept the man shielded from him. Some very powerful spell he could not break apart nor see through.
So he waited. And waited. And slowly began to lose hope, realizing the man may not even have remembered him. Had not known their bond. But still it was there. Wherever in the worlds he was, his Henri was hurting deeply and he could do not a thing about it.
But hope is a funny thing. So still he waited.
“Tată, you never told me you knew the Fair Folk!” Esmer exclaimed, showing Henri the entry from his war-diary about a very peculiar incident. It was just before his own handfasting, and they were spending some much deserved time off together, learning more about each other.

The IHH team is still trying to wrap our heads around the brilliance that is the chorus of “Blue Hawaii”. It just… screams sex. The Varsity EP will be released tomorrow on Neon Gold Records– if you’ve been having any volume issues with your speakers, we recommend you get them fixed… ASAp. You’re gonna need to blast this.
Listen: The Hood Internet/Pusha T & Kendrick Lamar vs ASTR The long-running mashup experts The Hood Internet specialise in fusing buzz-worthy pop and hip-hop into usually excellent remixes. Sometimes it doesn’t quite work or is a little pedestrian, but their latest sees them strike gold once more, layering the verses from “Nosetalgia”, the Kendrick Lamar-featuring highlight of Pusha T’s 2013 album My Name Is My Name, on top of New York electro duo ASTR’s “R U With Me”. Future summer jam material.
ASTR has gone all-in with a big, dance pop sound on their latest EP Homecoming, largely eschewing the mysterious tone of 2014’s Varsity for ear worm hooks and trance-house beats. It’s probably the right call - ASTR come off as refined and mainstream-ready especially through the opening trio of “Get So High”, “Activate Me” and key track “Bleeding Love”. The back half of Homecoming has some subtler moments, rounding out this overall solid effort from a duo that is ripe for an even bigger audience in 2016.
2015 Review: Vocal/production duo ASTR released the Varsity EP in 2014, a strong introduction of the band’s indie R&B/grey pop sound. ASTR range from downtempo whispers (“Blue Hawaii”) to pulsing, but subtle dance beats (“Part Of Me”), living in a space between bedroom and mainstream pop. Their early offerings are a bit hit and miss, but key track “Operate” and synth ballad “R U With Me” comfortably carry ASTR’s center-of-gravity. At their best, Adam Pallin’s music resonates with precision while Zoe Silverman gently croons like an understated Rhianna, a place that puts them as a potential breakout given whatever follows Varsity in 2015. They could easily go big or more mysterious, either/or would be an excellent wheelhouse for ASTR.
