So, you know I posted about my love for Assassin’s Creed Unity yesterday? Total coincidence. However, in that game is a full, totally explorable and climable, gigantic 1:1 scale version of the Notre Dame cathedral that a digital artist (named Caroline Miousse) spent TWO SOLID YEARS rendering. Anyway, I’ve just read that this in-game version was so accurate and detailed, that they’re going to be using it in the reconstruction projects in Paris after the fire. That is amazing. I was literally exploring Notre Dame just a few days ago in that game and being astonished by it, so I’m so glad that that artist gets to see her work have such an important impact on the cathedral itself. What an absolute hero.
