Yoko at her Chambers Street loft in Soho with her first husband, Toshi Ichiyanagi (at the piano), and composer Tpshiro Mayuzumi. Yoko had asked some friends to paint the loft in exchange for using it as performance space. "Everyone was lazy and didn't get around to painting it white," she said later, "but i got used to the gray."
