Okay so I stumbled across this* and my entire brain went “Wow, it’s a good thing Beacon didn’t have home ec because, and hear me out: Blake Belladonna” and now I can’t get the image out of my head.
*[id: a man wearing a sack of flour in a baby chest harness, holding it protectively and saying “Last night I dreamt my flour sack was abducted and the kidnappers started sending me muffins in the mail.”]
Ruby and Weiss are, within 24 hours, having actual screaming matches over college funds and whether or not their flour sack is going to be a) raised vegetarian b) entered into advanced preschool classes c) allowed to handle a sword before the age of 5.
I feel like Nora and Ren are either really good at it or they stop speaking to each other within three days because Ren is getting like, REALLY overprotective of the flour sack and Nora is pretty sure taking it to an amusement park won’t kill it. (Option 3: They have replaced the flour sack in secret three times because Nora can’t resist the urge to turn it into pancakes. They’re pretty sure this doesn’t count as failing, because as Ren points out, he’s pretty sure Nora wouldn’t make pancakes out of an actual infant.)
The bees end up getting the highest grade in the class despite Blake’s trauma resurfacing all over the damn place because they worked through it very well together in the end. Blake plans an elaborate break-in to rescue the “kids” from Team CRDL, who put their flour sacks in a cupboard for two weeks and think the others are ridiculous for actually doing the assignment. Yang counters this plan by reporting them to CPS.
….Meaning she gets video documentation and turns them in to the professor, but hey, that IS what she would do in real life as a parent, right?
Jaune and Pyrrha ALMOST beat them out for the highest score. They are actually utter and complete model parents until on the last day of the assignment Jaune tries to give their flour sack a bath before dressing it up for class.
Cut to a wide shot. Birds flutter into the air in response to a loud, despairing MY BABYYYYYYY that echoes over the grounds of Beacon.
