"Not everything is about your blorbos" to you maybe. To me every other song and probably that car commercial is about them
Certain words can change your brain forever and ever so you do have to be very careful about it.
If you want to write a dumb little story with a dumb little plot and ridiculously silly characters. No one's stopping you. Genuinely, no one should be allowed to stop you. Write that dumb story with your whole heart and don't hold back.
ok the dumb little story turned into a lot of work why does this always happen
the shadow knights get to be set on fire when they're angry, as a treat.
gene, shouting something or other and as he gets progressively more frustrated sparks start shining in his eyes, he looks to the sky and embers from his irises set his hair a flame. no one knows what he is.
zenix, with no idea how his new emotions work, is blinded by overwhelming anger and as he tries to process this his thoughts are taken over by flame, as are his hands as he waves them without thinking, and he does not know where it's coming from or how to stop it.
sasha, who knew what she did and knew what anger does to what she's become and chooses to suppress it all she can, and instead as she cries she feels fire on her face, a fire that no longer burns her. looking in a shard of mirror, she sees ash dripping down her face as what would be tears burns where she rests before consuming her in a freezing agony.
laurance, who's anger has always been a part of him especially as he grew, tired of minor conviencies and emotions doesn't allow them to break free, until one moment sticks. it sticks in the armor he builds for himself and it cracks more and deeper into him until he shouts, screams, no words coming out as bone crushing grief and anger consumes him, and all of him becomes a part of a bigger hearth.
Vylad, who keeps his emotions under such a lock that his skin is cold to the touch. Who feels the flame burn inside him but can't let it out. When it comes out anyway, it burns blue, the stored energy burning anyone who tries to get close.
i love the just start skeleton post but every time i go to reblog it i see the comment referring to it as more positive than the just walk out skeleton post and i can't. i can't do it. just walk out skeleton post has been a source of tremendous liberation in my life. both skeleton posts are necessary. we live in a two skeleton world. many skeletons, even. can you tell i'm avoiding doing work
just realised the most important one didn't attach to the last post
I love it when my creativity spurs other creativity. literally no better feeling as an artist than when someone looks at something you’ve made and goes “I saw this and liked it so much I could do nothing more with myself than turn it into drive for my own creativity” like that’s really what creativity is huh!! an instrument to further human expression and community and connection
fun things to do during pride month!!

kenmur/sasha
After his tragedy, Kenmur didn’t think he’d ever make a meaningful connection again. His family was gone, his kingdom was gone, everything he knew and loved and wanted was gone. All because flames took it from him.
Can I interest anyone in some cookie-canths?
They may just be American style suger cookies, but they are delicious
to you, it's a shitty sentence. to some random bitch 500 miles away, it's a fire line that'll haunt them for the next 17 years.
you don't know how impactful your writing is because it's been in your brain for far too long now. you've stared at it for hours and repeated "this sucks" over and over again to the point that you killed your capacity to feel anything about your work.
but trust me, once you get your shit out there, someone's gonna go over that paragraph you hate and go "jesus fucking christ" and put the book down to have an existential crisis.
When I first started writing, it took me a while to learn that writers, you don't need permission
- you don't need permission to write a messy first draft
- you don't need permission to add everything that makes you happy into your wips
- you don't need permission to write in the way that suits you
- you don't need permission to write a certain POV or a certain character or a certain trope
- you don't need permission to write what you love, even if it isn't 'marketable'
someone: hey I noticed this thing you did in your writing!
me, kicking my feet up flirtatiously: oh??? do you want to hear my thoughts on why I did that? do you want a play-by-play of the language choices in every related sentence? do you want an exhaustive breakdown of The Themes???
A gentle writing reminder...
...that it's okay to want validation for the things you write. That being said, your significance or skill as a writer aren't determined by the amount of notes you get.
You are allowed to want comments, shares and likes on your writing. There is nothing wrong with wanting these things. The point is that numbers in on themselves don't define you.
I know it can at times be demotivating if your work doesn't receive a lot of recognition, but please don't let it diminish your worth. That cannot be taken from you.
Anybody else got that Evergiven sized writers block
“Where’s the next chapter?!” Well buddy you’re never gonna guess
What’s the comic sans trick?
wingdings' true purpose as a font
Wingdings holy shit some of y'all are on a whole different level of galaxy wizard brain batshittery and I am in awe.
Exciting. When I don't want to see what I'm writing I just make the font color almost indistinguishable from the background color. (Do not do this.)
(I don't think the secret to the comic sans hack is comic sans itself; I think it's any deflation of being intimidated by your canvas.)
Hold on I need to go look something up immediately.
meal ideas!
low energy ("do not ask me to do any prep work at all, so help me god")
- mozzerella cheese wrapped in pepperoni ("pizza tacos"!)
- hummus and pretzels or naan (putting the naan in the microwave for like 10 seconds...heavenly)
- canned chili (with shredded cheese and sour cream if you have it! boom done!)
- instant miso soup (warm and lovely!)
- cheese and cured meat, olives, canned fish, crackers, dried fruit, or whatever easy "charcuterie" type items you like
- alternate bites of apple and spoonfulls of peanut butter (mixing honey or chocolate chips to the peanut butter is my favorite)
- a "deconstructed sandwich": bites of lunch meat, pickles, cheese, cherry tomato, etc (I love roast beef and white cheddar for this)
- yogurt and granola or fruit
medium energy ("I'll boil water but don't ask me to chop shit")
- boiled eggs and fresh veggies (put a little salt on top of the eggs for pizzaz!)
- buttered noodles (take it up to level 10 and add roasted garlic; takes 30 mins in an oven, only one swoop of the knife required)
- baked potato with toppings (I like cheese, bacon, broccoli, green onion, and sour cream)
- quesadilla (add some canned beans, cilantro, or avocado!)
- pot roast (requires a lot of time but not a lot of actual work. I love it with peas!)
- cuban sandwich (bread, swiss, pickle, mustard, ham... my favorite thing to panini-ify by far)
- pan-fried tofu with scallion sauce (this sauce goes well with everything and tofu is no exception)
- pancakes or waffles! (I love mine with jam)
- ham, pickle, and cream cheese roll-ups
- fried eggs (with toast and lots of butter...so comforting)
- fruit smoothie (bananas, frozen strawberries, yogurt...or whatever!)
- I hate salad but could write essays on this copycat olive garden salad (throw it in a bowl! chopping required if you use onion)
- spaghetti (controversial maybe but angel hair > spaghetti noodles)
- pasta salad (olives broccoli fresh mozerella... those little mini pepperonis... yeah)
high energy ("I don't mind chopping some things up!")
- stuffed shells with spinach
- chicken and roasted garlic (oh my god.....one of my all time favorites)
- beef tacos (I like mine with cilantro and onion, and when I'm feeling especially high energy I love a tomatillo salsa)
- chicken alfredo
- tom kha gai (a thai soup and my absolute favorite! you just need access to galangal)
- lasagna! (freezes well and then boom! low energy meal for later)
- pad thai! (not as hard as you'd think, as long as you have access to tamarind paste!)
- potstickers! (this is a lovely group activity if you want to cook with housemates!)
- rice and beans
- bang bang shrimp (ogughfhgfuh I love it. you can also do bang bang tofu!)
- minestrone soup (so many nice veggies!)
- fried rice (put whatever you have on hand in there! broccoli, peas, carrot, and beef is my favorite combo)
- broccoli cheddar soup
- spring rolls and peanut sauce
- skewers (such as beef, onion, zucchini, bell pepper... you don't need a grill, oven works!)
- roasted turkey with garlic parmesean asparagus
- pork chop with mashed potatoes
other tips:
- whenever you think of a meal you'd like to make, take 3 seconds to google search it, take a screenshot of the image results, and put it in a "food ideas" folder. instant visual menu!
- if you're on instagram, there are a bajillion different recipe accounts that post videos! a few of my favorites: jipsoon_kitchen, eatwitzo, cordandthekitchen, chungeats, tiffy.cooks, two_plaid_aprons
This is all great!
I got this website from a nutritionist and it’s become my absolute favorite way to find new recipes. The search filter options are fantastic! Sorting by method really helps me because I think that’s what makes the biggest difference in how much energy you need.
And here are some other ideas for low/medium energy meals:
- Cottage cheese with crackers, fruits and/or veggies.
- Guacamole with veggies and/or tortilla chips
- Chickpeas/garbanzo beans with tzatziki. You could add rice, lettuce/spinach, and/or pita.
- Buffalo cauliflower with yogurt dip. You can roast or microwave the cauliflower, top it with hot sauce, and add bleu cheese or shredded cheddar on top.
can u write t4t kc and zane. like zane tells her he’s trans and she’s like oh shit me too. or whatever u want …. literally begging
“thank you for sharing that with me,” zane responds, trying to keep his voice soft as to not disrupt the mood that surrounds the two.
kawai— kisa, kisa still looked uncomfortable. even though zane was usually pretty bad at telling when someone was feeling bad, the watery eyes definitely didn’t seem like happy tears.
“my name wasn’t always zane.” he announced, now at a volume probably too high for the top of a ferris wheel.
“huh?”
“i choose my name. zane. i. i choose it with my mother when i told them who i was.”
“who you were?”
“who i am. zane. a trans man.”
“really? you mean it?” she said, the last words zane ever expected to hear after coming out.
“what?” he was quite again.
“kisa ! me! i choose it by myself ! years before telling them who i was i found my name! also trans ! but like !! the other way!” kisa’s hands flapped excitedly as well as her tail swishing back and fourth. zane had done good. he made someone happy!
“so. if i were to call you my girlfriend..?”
“you’d be absolutely right!” kisa giggled excitedly, her demeanor totally changing from minutes before as she twirled her hair. zane smiled, her giggling a tad bit contagious as the ferris wheel started spinning downward again.
zane was trans. kisa was trans. and they lived happily ever after.
