Aw man, this was the screen where I thought he was taller, too. but there’s a shot later in the trailer that shows he’s actually still the same height as before. Was so disappointed.

I played through DOOM 2016 again and read some interesting stories about Doomguy himself, one of which was the fact that when Samuel Hayden led an expedition to where Doomguy was, the demons guarding his place were reportedly more aggressive and territorial around the tomb, even low level demons like imps and such were very ‘hellbent’ on keeping doomguy asleep.

Lackadaisy characters, somewhat toonified. This was sort of a challenge for myself to distill the character designs down to something more simple and cartoon-like, with distinct silhouettes. I wish I had been bolder with the shapes in a lot of places, but it was still good practice for an artist who otherwise tends toward over-rendering things.
