psa to my lovely followers
I live in one of the least walkable parts of this country so every time I see y’all advocating for MORE car parks and MORE lanes and MORE car-centered infrastructure I literally have to ask, what fucking more do you want? you want the fucking sidewalks too? there is one crosswalk on my entire road and it’s over a mile away. is that not fucking enough for you? seriously? you need MORE MORE MORE car shit??? because your super duper disabled and deserve it??? Fucking LOL
I’m my city if you follow the main drag you can find 5-6 “Ghost bikes”. These are memorials for bicyclists and pedestrians who have been run over and killed by cars. They have all been there less than a year. I live in a small city btw
I'd even go so far as to argue this-- the only way to make it safe for ANYONE, drivers absolutely included, is to reduce the number of lanes, reduce the speed, and build archetecture that encourages drivers not to speed, like city lanes being significantly narrower than highways with some curves, with established bike lanes that AREN'T JUST A PAINTED SECTION OF ROAD but have DIVIDERS to keep pedestrians and bikers safe. Sidewalks with drop curbs and no steep angles and crossings at stoplights and frequent thoroughfares so that NOBODY ever is forced to walk in, through, or along the busy street with no safety measures.
It's not safe to drive, walk, bike, wheel, or otherwise when the city streets are six or eight lane wide ass pseudohighways where the speed limit is 45mph+ and people actually drive 60 within the goddamn city center where people need to walk to work!! It's fucking batshit crazy!!
The only way to fix this is to make the environment more hostile to speeding, reckless drivers. Narrower streets with more space dedicated to flat, paved pedestrian walkways and crossings, with metal and concrete bars to protect someone should a car run off the road. Slower speed limits enforced by how safe it feels to drive that fast--wide, straight, multiple lanes greatly encourage speeding, dodging and weaving, and running stoplights. Those behaviors are dangerous as fuck to literally every human in a mile radius of their bullshit.
Make it harder, make it uncomfortable, make it impossible if you must, to speed and put pedestrians at risk.
horseback archery -> several hundred years -> jerking off while driving
watch anthropologists ignore this
Except the horse can just not walk off a cliff or whatever while the car absolutely can. I mean i know horses can but like if they are paying attention they’ll just be like “you’re a stupid and I’m not going there and you can’t actually make me”.
interesting. what other discrepancies have you found between mounted archery and masturbating on the interstate
Actually, you really want a mule for this endeavor. They use almost exclusively mules to navigate around places like the grand canyon near the actual canyon, because they will carefully side themselves down a slope (very cool to watch!) whereas a horse will jump off and break a leg. Don't want to deal with a broke legged horse with your cock out.
based on the alcohol poll i just saw
it’s so funny when ablebodied nds / mentally ill ppl call cripplepunks ‘ableminded’ because cripplepunk isn’t for ablebodied people as if we aren’t violently mentally ill as well. i have never met a physically disabled person that is ableminded. it’s extremely common to have a mental illness when you are physically disabled. like what.
How could you go through what we do every day without getting depression, anxiety, and PTSD?
One of the things that I think is being missed in the Cripplepunk discourse is that those of us who are both mentally and physically ill ALSO aren't posting about our mental illness in cripple specific spaces. We go to mental health spaces to talk about that because even though we're physically ill too, it's just not the space.
cute girl at the hardware store once complimented my work boots and being the dumbest butch in a 50mi radius i said thanks and started talking about steel toes vs composites and how most womens sizes only have compsite toes but usually you need to replace those after every incident so steel toes are superior however composites are lighter and more flexible but if youre welding you need met guards anyway and she politely fled. hazards of hardware store flirting: might hit the special interest button
if you had done that to me i would have followed you to your car like a lost dog jsyk
wow this is too intimate to share with my close friends or family let me put this on my tumblr blog for hundreds of strangers to see
I made my own pain and fatigue scale charts. Because I'm so adept at overcoming my symptoms the normal pain scale doesn't really work for me. I adjusted my numbers so that I could change the number into something I could tell a doctor when they inevitably ask me to rate my pain.
Feel free to use them yourself if you like them!
You mentioned gastroparesis in a recent post.
Any tips for someone suspecting it?
(maybe gross: tw vomit)
I literally vomited up food somewhat in tact the other morning that I ate over twelve hours beforehand, and I know that's not normal. Smaller meals help greatly, and the PPI I was on made it worse. Off that one now. Sulfasalazine has also made it worse. Have to keep that one.
I've also noticed high water content meals (like soup) digest much easier.
Is there a point at which you should definitely go to the doctor about this issue? What is it?
Thank you for your time!
If you're vomiting more than once a month, it's recommended to see a doctor. Tho honestly I'd recommend going if you see a pattern too. It's always better to be safe then sorry.
I definitely understand vomiting up food hours after I ate it. It is definitely a big sign you might have gastroparesis (tho there are other reasons and sometimes gastroparesis develops because of something else and is therefore temporary).
Soup is definitely a good food to eat. Any meat or vegetable in it will be soft and tender and soft and tender means it's easier to digest. The same goes for things like noodles vs bread. Noodles will be easier to digest then bread. Liquid fruits and vegetables are easier to eat then solid.
One suggestion I'd give is limit intake of high fiber foods. Fiber is super hard to digest and sits in the stomach longer than most foods. Boiling vegetables makes them easier to digest tho tbh mine is bad enough I usually drink my vegetables (buy the expensive produce aisle stuff and drink like half a glass a day). I believe corn and I think cherries are also supposed to be avoided because they often form a bezoar in the stomach which makes it even harder to digest food.
Avoid high fat content and greasy foods. Go for fat free or 1% milk products when you can. Anything higher is harder to digest. Use margarine instead of butter. Don't eat cold pizza (I miss it smh lol). Air fry things or throw them in the oven, don't use an oil fryer.
Avoid tough meat. Chew meat thoroughly. Really, chew everything thoroughly. Lean meat is also easier to digest. I honestly probably don't get enough protein and should get those fancy protein drinks or replacement bars. Give em a try if you want.
I don't eat spicy food much but it does irritate the stomach and can make nausea worse so it's recommended you avoid it.
Also try to avoid eating skins on fruits (apples, grapes, cherries, etc). These are also tough to digest.
Listen to your stomach. If you're feeling bloated and nauseous and a meal is coming up, don't try to force regular food down. I usually eat a small serving of 1% cottage cheese and/or slow drink a breakfast essential for a meal if I need to. You can always snack later if you feel like it.
Make sure you're not eating and then going to bed immediately after. Give your body a few hours to digest it first. As someone who sometimes naps after meals, it's not fun to wake up nauseous and that's just an hour or 3 hour nap. Doing a whole night isnt a good idea. Sleeping slows digestion down even more.
Drink water after you eat. Water aids in digestion. You can still drink too much water and make things worse obviously but drinking after a meal even just a little bit often makes my stomach feel better and often will even make me feel a little less bloated if I was dumb and ate too much too fast.
Good luck with everything. Hopefully you can get some control over this issue.

so i’ve recently managed to finally let my armpit hair be & i’m loving it tbh but. i have a question for my fellow armpit hair having girlies. people say that having armpit hair makes u smell worse or smell more but this hasn’t been my experience.. i feel like i’m sweating less & smelling better 🤨 and i never felt like my gf’s armpit hair led to her smelling bad either so.. what is ur experience???
not did i only smell worse, i couldnt get rid of the smell by washing, i had to shave the hair off.
still got my cavewoman legs though
huh,, even with soap?? thats strange
I got my pit hair lasered off so now my armpits are bald forever. I don't really regret it, since for me it's not really tied to femininity. The adult men and women in my family shave their pits too, it's just something I was raised to do for cleanliness. However, I think armpit smell is related to your microbiome and how often you sweat more than whether you have hair. It's entirely possible that you'd smell less if you're keeping the area dry and clean. If bald armpits become sweaty and the sweat has nowhere to go. The hair is supposed to be there to wick the sweat away. It's also possible you'd smell more with pit hair if deodorant can't reach your skin as effectively. People have unique biochemistry and live in different conditions, it's totally possible to have these different changes.
Yeah I have bald armpits too, for a different reason. I kept getting reactions from antiperspirants resulting in rashes. I accidentally scratched my hair away. I use deodorant only now and rarely get itchy armpits. I haven't noticed any difference from when I had hair till now.
When mine gets too long it tends to hold on to odor, but soap works just the same, as does anything that sterilizes the bacteria. Sometimes I trim it for that reason with an electric shaver but only rarely. I hate the prickly stage from fully shaving.
Some of y'all on this site harass random gay transmasculine people for no reason then turn around and talk about how transandrophobia "truthers" are so awful and transmisogynistic and leveraging our female TME privilege against transfems and did you know faggot is a word only for real homosexuals, not predatory straight female fujoshits AMAB people? Oh and also if you disagree with me on any of this that's just proof you're a heterosexual female fetishizing real homosexuality to be homophobic transmisogynistic. Like y'all are literally repeating conservative rhetoric in your quest to try and "prove" that whiny hysterical little privileged girls who've never experienced real oppression men that you think co-opt women's experiences have privilege over transfems.
“asexuality is just the lack of a sex drive, or a really low one” uuhhh no. really, no. that is incorrect, you have been lied to, i’m sorry.
asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction to anyone. sex drive is your horny meter. you can still be horny and not be sexually attracted to people! similarly you can be sexually attracted to people and not be horny!! amaze
oh my god this actually clarifies so much thank you
If you put a lesbian in a room full of men she can still be horny as fuck but their ain’t anyone there she wants to do it with.
Also note that if you put a bunch of horny dudes on a naval vessel for years on end, even if they’re all straight, some of them are probably gonna end up fucking (which is why back when sodomy was illegal on land it was allowed on a ship). Similarly, some fraction of asexual people do have sex for recreation, but never with anybody they’re actually attracted to because they aren’t actually attracted to anybody. Friction is friction and endorphins are endorphins.
Conversely, there’s a lot of allosexual people who never have sex. Some because of religious or moral objections, some because or psychological aversion or trauma, some out of an abundance of caution about the risk of disease or unwanted pregnancy, and others simply never get around to forming that kind of relationship.
There’s a pervasive misconception that asexuality and abstinence are the same thing, that a person can choose to be asexual or not. That assumption hurts a lot of people, from asexuals pressured or even forced into sexual encounters they don’t want in order to “fix” them, to perfectly normal and healthy allosexuals being shamed and repressed as “sluts” just for feeling natural and uncontrollable emotions.
That’s being ace, buddy. Ace people can experience hornyness.
No one I know has had the same experience as me getting on hrt and honestly it’s a damn shame
me, mentally bracing myself for months, if not years of psychological evaluation: “So I think I might be trans?”
doc: “cool cool cool cool”
doc: “so… do you wanna start estrogen today or…?”
