I want everyone to know that the guy who’s talking on the yugioh side of the Strategy panel has a deck so complicated it created the most infamous Excel spreadsheet in Yugioh history.
As someone who has never played either game, WHY DOES YUGIOH HISTORY EVEN HAVE INFAMOUS EXCEL SPREADSHEETS. What is going on in there??
yugioh isn't "good" i.e. its hardly a cowboy bebop or NGE or FLCL or mushishi but if anyone was like "it's bad" i'd be like be quiet. kaiba's about to summon obelisk out of the fucking ground
an Atem redraw that I started a while ago and finally finished today aye. Top was drawn in 2018 ✌️
Here's these old Yusei doodles with him in a cat eared helmet pfft
the millennium items being made specifically as weapons of war and conquest and then atem’s family/the priests just casually use them against their own people afterwards for like, trespassing. once again i think thief king was right.
I’m posting this fanart after an insane amount of time, but hey, procrastination is my superpower. Some time ago (actually a lot of time ago, but ssh) I contributed to the Project Sakura Yu-Gi-Oh! fanzine, which is focused on flower language, for Charity RAINN, the largest relief program for Sexual Assault Survivors. [You can still check @projsakuraygo’s blog!]
I picked roses and lilies as symbolic flowers, but in reality, I also wanted Aki to be a symbol herself of rebirth (inspired by the organization we were supporting)
Imagine this setting: it’s Aki against Divine, he’s still trying to manipulate her into going back to his movement, but she changed, she’s not the lost child she used to be anymore, she now has friends who genuinely support her and through her newfound resolution, she summons the evolved version of her ace card (do you see the symbolism?). This would be the duel the anime never gave us. Through this duel, Aki exposes Divine’s true motifs and declares her freedom right in his face. She’s ready to cut ties with her past in the most glorious way possible.
magic players intimidate me but yugioh players scare me. that game’s like sitting down for a high speed version of book club where the objective is to fully understand the assigned reading before the other guy beats you in one turn. madness.
“the anime breaks the rules of the game!” okay but if it followed the rules of the game do you have any idea what it’d be like
if the yugioh players find this post they’ll try to kill me by making me understand pendulum summoning
she’s a zombie, but absolutely
Shitpostingkat’s tags are fucking hilarious and correct, and I’m showing all my blorbos.
