i love character design that don't have emotive face, makes for really interesting gesture practice
“Five things to do before you get out of bed. 1- Express gratitude. 2- Set your intentions for the day. 3- Take five long deep breaths in & out. 4- Smile for no reason just flex the muscle. 5- Forgive yourself for yesterdays mistakes.”

Soo adorable!!
ayo i found more unreleased songs for ln2 B') idk if you've seen them already but one is called hope and betrayal, anothers called real end of the hall and the last is dejavu, i can grab some links if you want
OH BEST FRIEND I KNOW ABOUT ALL OF THEM ALREADY AND LET ME TELL YOU I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTSSSSSS!!!
It's been a while since I had the occasion to talk about the music in LN! Now I'm gonna list every single one of them and tell you ALL about what I think. I'm going to link them all here so you can check them out for yourself!
This really does feel like a dejavu. It has so many different elements taken from soundtracks of both games, which I find quite intriguing.
It begins with Six's music box, the one we hear playing during in the first sections of Togetherness I, which then abruptly turns into a slightly altered Six's Theme from LN I. While similar, it's not exactly the same as True Colors. Then, the melody procedes more or less as the final Menu Theme, but this time instead of being sang by children, it seems to be sang by a chorous of women -
- and this is where it gets interesting. The next and final section initially reminded me of The Lady Circles, Trailer Version's beginning, where the core melody of End of the Hall is played in the background, however... doesn't the melody playing over it sound like the very beginning of Room With A View?
A jump in the past, truly. While I like this version a lot, I do prefer the one we ended up getting. Having the childern sing adds to the charm.
An early version of one of my favorite extra soundtrack? Honestly, this sounds like it could have been one of the songs playing in the TV. I have to admit it sounds slightly frightening, especially when the main theme goes quiet and we're left with the beat. An initially enjoyable silence turned uncomfortable after it lasts for a second too long. And when the main melody starts again and it's going off beat... Something about it is so wrong.
Concept: this song only starts playing from every TV when Mono is running around the City by himself, looking for Six. It's her call for help distorted by the Tower into a sick melody with nothing but ill intent behind it - like it did to Hypno.
Right, because we needed it to be 5 minutes long. Dear Lord I hate this song. It just sounds so... hopeless. Like all the joy has been sucked out of it. I'm tearing up as I'm writing this. Fuck you Tobias Lilja /pos
There is nothing much to say about most of it to be honest. The melody is more or less the same, just longer. That is, until we get halfway through... that's when yet another chorous of women begins singing as the static grows louder and louder! In the very back, a child's voice can be heard, yet it's muffled, covered by both the women and the static - until static is all that remains.
And then, at the very end, a familiar sound. That's the Maw, best friends. There is no way it's anything else.
Leads me to believe we were actually supposed to get another scene after the door closes at the end of the game. Maybe Six getting on the Maw?
Oh this one DESTROYED me.
There is not much to say about it musically, but... damn, Six's humming is just... MAN. You can clearly hear the distress in her voice, she sounds like she's desperately trying to hold back tears and failing. Her voice is quite distorted, so I'm guess this is Monster Six - or even Six attempting to calm herself down during the monster transformation process? Either way, it really seems as if she's in pain. I hate it here
Nothing to say about this one, just End of the Hall with no clock in the back and less static. Everything hurts
Can I say, I'm glad they chose Nothing Lasts Forever over this one, even though this one is objectively better in every single aspect? Because if they DID go with this one, I would have never fucking recovered. And I STILL haven't recovered?!
The beginning, while similar to Nothing Lasts Forever, as the title implies, is much more hopeful. I can perfectly see the scene in my mind. Mono and Six running together in slow motion and they're about to get out, finally, they're about to leave. Six is a bit ahead, Mono does the jump, and then... it drops. Just like it does in NLF.
... BUT THEN IT CONTINUES.
I'll be honest, this was the last place where I would have expected the Lady's motif to pop out. And YET. Like you can't deny it. It's literally right there for everyone to hear. Right after the drop. And it's so cruel.
Because even though it's solemn and composed like only the Lady songs only manage to be, it still sounds hopeful. Almost as if dropping Mono was the right choice. Up until now, percussions (?) have been playing in the back of the song, like a never ending heart beat. When the drop happens, suddenly, all heaviness is lifted from the song. The singing voice of the woman sounds so... free. The child humming towards the end is just as relaxed, almost as if they just lifted an incredibly crushing weight off their chest.
It's hauntingly beautiful - like the concept I think it's trying to express. In order to be free and embrace her true self, Six has to leave what's holding her down behind. Even if it's a friend.
Even if it's Mono.
This song ceases to be beautiful and transforms into being just straight up cruel when taking Mono into account, which is why I'm glad it wasn't used. It wouldn't have helped with the whole "Six is just a kid trying to survive and is genuinely regretful aftet dropping Mono" argument - of which I'm a firm believer btw.
Ah, another song with a beginning similar to A Room With A View... except this time it goes on for much longer. Almost two minutes of it!
Then, the tone shifts, while still keeping the motif in the back: it's suddenly more reminiscent of Togetherness... until it slowly begins to dwelve into Maw typical noises. I wonder if the game was supposed to have multiple endings at one point - OR! This could have perfectly been the song playing during the credits. It would totally fit there! It does give off a similar vibe to Beneath the Waves... Plus, the Maw noises at the end could be in reference to Six on the Maw again!
Not a really good one, but I still sorta like it? It would have fit the Hunter. I like the noise in the back, it sorta sounds like it's a broken machine running after the kids. Still, it doesn't hold up at all when compared to the literal banger that is Boots Through the Undergrowth.
This one was apparently supposed to be used during the Thin Man chase sequence, in the scene where you have to walk directly under him and avoid being captured. I appreciate the throwback to A Feeling For Meat in the back, even though it makes no sense thematically.
Another Mr Thin song that was supposed to be used in a scene where he came out from an elevator. Apparently both this and the previously mentioned song are shorter versions of Playtime.
Pale Silhouette... I like that name. I'm gonna add it to the "Broadcaster Nicknames to make him sound cool in fanfics" list.
Another song filled with Maw noises. It vaguely sounds like the Lady's motif... again. Specifically the one from Lure of the Maw. Compared to the other, this one really does sound it could be a Little Nightmares/Secrets of the Maw OST.
For years in the English speaking Sonic fandom there’s been tons of confusion regarding 06′s place in the series, and collectively everyone seems to have come to the opinion that 06 isn’t canon so we must disregard it.
But I have some news for you;
I specifically said “English speaking Sonic fandom” there, because the Japanese fanbase have always considered 06 canon in the mainline series, unlike the west.
“But it retconned itself, it erased itself from canon!” First, we must discuss the very definition of what “retcon” means. “Retroactive continuity, (or retcon for short) is a literary device in which established facts in a fictional work are adjusted, ignored, or contradicted by a subsequently published work which breaks continuity with the former.”
In Sonic 06′s case, sure, the timeline was erased. However, the events must have had to happen in the first place for them to even have been erased. This does not make it “non canon”, the creators have never said “please disregard this entry from the series”. In fact, if you’ve been paying attention, Sonic 06 is one of the most referenced games in the entire series.
But before I get in to that, I want to talk about something that happened recently. Shiro Maekawa (a past main writer for the Sonic series) recently held a Q&A livestream, however he answered a few questions directly on twitter with Japanese fans. I already translated these on twitter but I wanted to share them here too;
(*He said Nishiyama actually wrote the scenario for SA1, but it was easier on twitter to translate it as story because character space is limited).
If you’re unsure what Maekawa is referring to here, it’s this;
That different dimension Blaze gets sealed to? You guessed it. It’s the Sol Dimension.
In other words; he just said Blaze originally came from the future.
(Manaita replied to Maekawa confirming this https://twitter.com/mana_ita/status/1010665857536614400 saying this is what she always believed, that Rush/06 were written intentionally with a connection to each other).
This actually makes perfect sense because when the timeline is reset Blaze does not come back (even though she should) and she does not recognise Sonic in 06, nor does Sonic recognise her. (Before someone says “but she mentions blue hedgehog!” that’s a translation error. The word for “Blue” in Japanese can also mean “Naive”; yes, when she ponders over “the blue hedgehog is the Iblis Trigger”, she’s actually pondering “the NAIVE hedgehog is the Iblis Trigger”. It’s supposed to be a clever play on words and how it’s foreshadowing that Silver is going to be the one who will cause the ruination of the future. In this instance she is always talking about Silver, but this got lost in translation and they decided to translate it literally which caused a lot of confusion).
I came to this conclusion myself years ago as it’s the only way things can make any sense. My Timeline is a bit outdated but for now I think it’ll suffice to give the general idea of how It works;
Another interesting thing to note is; did you know that depending on which region you’re in, Silver actually debuted in Sonic Rivals, NOT Sonic 06?
These games came out within extremely close proximity to each other, which means that they were written at the same time.
You want to know something very interesting about that fact? Eggman Nega is Silver’s antagonist in Sonic Rivals and stated as being Eggman’s descendant.
That, and? Iblis is also in Sonic Rivals (as Ifrit);
Meanwhile, in Sonic Rush’s case, Blaze was not in any original promotion of it while it was in beta as “Sonic DS”. I was reading gaming magazines religiously at this time and was eagerly awaiting this game, but she was not there during this stage at all. In fact it seems that she was added to Rush later on. Sonic 06 and Sonic Rush were also being shown off together at a games expo in 2005; this means Sonic Rush, Sonic 06 and Sonic Rivals were all being produced at very close proximity to each other.
And, what’s interesting about this is; while people presumed that Eggman Nega is a native to the Sol Dimension (and Eggman’s counterpart), Sonic Rush never ever says Eggman Nega is from the Sol Dimension, ever. It says Blaze and Nega have been fighting a long time, but that’s all.
In other words… These three games had stories that were planned to fit this way from the very beginning.
Something else of interest to note, when Blaze is getting “sealed to a different dimension” in 06 while using the Chaos Emeralds, for a split second something happens;
Yes, she becomes Burning Blaze before fading away!
The fact Blaze/the Sol Dimension exist and Maekawa confirmed that Blaze came from the future first mean that they are evidence of that timeline once existing; ergo, 06 is canon.
Now now, you might be thinking “why would this plot exist, only for it to not be addressed afterwards?”
I remember watching an interview many years ago when one of the developers of 06 said something along the lines of “we named Silver “Silver” so that when we made a “Silver the Hedgehog” game, it would line up in store shelves beside the rest of the Sonic series”.
The mainline title before 06 was “Shadow the Hedgehog”. 06 was branded as “Sonic the Hedgehog”. My speculation? This was possibly going to be a plot point that was explored in a “Silver the Hedgehog” game they wanted to produce. However due to the failure of 06, the direction of the series changed and they decided to completely take focus off any of Sonic’s extra cast so this never came to fruition.
This is also probably why Silver and Blaze have been together in pretty much every game and appearance since (even in SATBK, Galahad is not in the story mode yet is still listed as Percival’s close companion!).
You might also be interested to know about Silver and Blaze’s continuous matching sets on Sonic Channel (where they share a similar pose), something that’s exclusive to just them.
but see this last one here?
It specifically references Sonic 06 as well.
Blaze is making the shape of a maple leaf with her flames, which is what silver’s quill style is based on.
Silver is throwing a Tanzaku in the air, referencing the Tanabata festival.
And what is Tanabata? To put it simply, Tanabata festival is a Japanese summer holiday which revolves around the famous story of lonely Princess Orihime and Hikoboshi, two lovers who get separated across space on opposite ends of the milky way and can’t see each other anymore. During Tanabata we hope that they will be able to see each other again.
… now, that sounds awfully familiar, doesn’t it?
In other words, I don’t believe Sonic Team have forgotten about this plot point at all. I can’t say I know what they are planning to do, but it’s not something they’ve abandoned either it seems. It’s hard to say what with the complete lack of attention they’ve been paying to anyone except Sonic for the last decade (Forces aside).
Which brings me to my next point; 06 being referenced in other games. If you’d been paying attention, 06 has always been referenced.
Sonic and the Secret Rings talks about Iblis;
Sonic Unleashed;
Sonic Colors;
(should be noted that in Japanese, Silver says “why does it feel like this isn’t the first time you and I have fought together”)
Sonic Runners;
And I’m sure I don’t need to mention Sonic Generations, where Blaze says she remembers Crisis City; "I never thought I’d find myself in Crisis City again. This world is full of surprises", and I’ve already mentioned the reference to partnership between Galahad and Percival in SATBK.
Silver also talks about the “青空 (blue sky)”, it’s a phrase that comes up in his dialogue often
You know what this is referring to?
(Sonic Forces’ original script also had Mephiles in it, and according to Maekawa? He thinks the reason Blaze isn’t in Sonic Forces is because it’s related to the ending of 06; https://twitter.com/SonicJPNews/status/930896302325592064 https://twitter.com/SonicJPNews/status/930897199407554561 )
At this point, it’s a little delusional to keep insisting 06 is not a canon game in the series. Everything points to the exact opposite, that it very much is part of the mainline. I’ve always thought it was very strange how the western fandom has been in collective denial regarding it’s canon status while the JP fandom have never doubted it’s inclusion (and hand waves everything about it as “that’s just a reference!” when it continuously happens again and again).
Anyway! I hope this info has educated you some. I’ve had these thoughts for a long time now, but have been discouraged from discussing it as every attempt is met with “but it’s not canon, shut up about it”. I felt now with Maekawa’s confirmation, people might be more willing to actually see what’s been right in front of them the entire time.
Me when first reading: Oh this looks like an interesting post that translates developer information on ‘06 and how it still relates to-
After reading:
Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-largest planet in our solar system. Like fellow gas giant Jupiter, Saturn is a massive ball made mostly of hydrogen and helium. Saturn is not the only planet to have rings, but none are as spectacular or as complex as Saturn's. Saturn also has dozens of moons.
The farthest planet from Earth discovered by the unaided human eye, Saturn has been known since ancient times. The planet is named for the Roman god of agriculture and wealth, who was also the father of Jupiter.
Saturn's environment is not conducive to life as we know it. The temperatures, pressures, and materials that characterize this planet are most likely too extreme and volatile for organisms to adapt to.
With a radius of 36,183.7 miles (58,232 kilometers), Saturn is 9 times wider than Earth.
If Earth were the size of a nickel, Saturn would be about as big as a volleyball.
Saturn has the second-shortest day in the solar system. One day on Saturn takes only 10.7 hours (the time it takes for Saturn to rotate or spin around once).
Its axis is tilted by 26.73 degrees with respect to its orbit around the Sun, which is similar to Earth's 23.5-degree tilt. This means that, like Earth, Saturn experiences seasons.
Saturn is home to a vast array of intriguing and unique worlds. From the haze-shrouded surface of Titan to crater-riddled Phoebe, each of Saturn's moons tells another piece of the story surrounding the Saturn system. Currently, Saturn has 53 confirmed moons with 29 additional provisional moons awaiting confirmation.
‼️New findings have emerged about five tiny moons nestled in and near Saturn's rings. The closest-ever flybys by NASA's Cassini spacecraft reveal that the surfaces of these unusual moons are covered with material from the planet's rings — and from icy particles blasting out of Saturn's larger moon Enceladus. The work paints a picture of the competing processes shaping these mini-moons.‼️
Saturn's rings are made of billions of small chunks of ice and rock coated with other materials such as dust.
Saturn took shape when the rest of the solar system formed about 4.5 billion years ago when gravity pulled swirling gas and dust in to become this gas giant.
About 4 billion years ago, Saturn settled into its current position in the outer solar system, where it is the sixth planet from the Sun. Like Jupiter, Saturn is mostly made of hydrogen and helium, the same two main components that make up the Sun.
Saturn is blanketed with clouds that appear as faint stripes, jet streams, and storms. The planet is many different shades of yellow, brown, and gray.
Winds in the upper atmosphere reach 1,600 feet per second (500 meters per second) in the equatorial region. In contrast, the strongest hurricane-force winds on Earth top out at about 360 feet per second (110 meters per second). And the pressure – the same kind you feel when you dive deep underwater

Please don’t let fandom ruin something you love.
