Vintage girl, currently obsessed with DS9 and Garashir; AO3, KoFi

Would you like an Andrew Robinson button for your blog?  I scanned the one I bought at STLV and made the background transparent because I love you!

I could also make replicas of this button if people wanted!

Just Julian’s enthusiastically presenting an idea of trying something rather kinky, most likely using “this is an ancient Earth practise” to add more appeal

Also I wanted to draw Garak, being a lizard person, with a lizard tail

The question "how does Julian square away Garak trying to blow up an entire planet" is far more easily answered when you remember that two episodes before that, he spent two months trying to cure an artificially created plague that kept the population alive enough to reproduce while destroying any semblance of a culture they had other than waiting to die, and that very specifically Garak was trying to kill the people that did that after saying they were going to do something similar to his people

from a doctor to the doctor, here’s my concepts for a fourteenth doctor as played by alexander siddig! i’m sure the chances of him being cast are slim, but i figured i put this out into the universe before we actually get an announcement

IM CRYING I LOVE YOU FOR THIS

OH MY GOD YES PLEASE

“and of course, Sid is one of the most beautiful men I’ve ever met in my life. And I didn’t meet him until about two minutes before the scene, and I just went… fuck… this guy is hot”

- Andy Robinson, who says this unprompted whenever he can

Not only was it initially a spur of the moment decision, it continued to be so. They never rehearsed any of their scenes together, just relied on “natural chemistry” according to the DS9 companion

Thanks to @thewuzzy‘s reply for reminding me that he also said “I think we made the producers shit themselves!”

Also great: Wilson Cruz nodding enthusiastically while Andy went on about how hot Sid was. And then tearfully thanking Andy for playing the queer subtext too obviously to be ignored even when the producers were still too cowardly to make it explicit.

Other highlights include:

  • Wilson crying in shock and happiness at the huge turnout to the panel, standing room only and people crammed into corners
  • Andrew describing his thoughts on seeing Sid for the first time as “Oh fuck… he’s HOT!”
  • Wilson tearfully telling Andrew that Garak made him feel like he didn’t have to be afraid entering the acting world as an openly gay man in the 90s
  • Wilson calling himself Blu del Barrio’s “proud dad” and saying that he and Anthony Rapp planned that they would immediately take Blu and Ian Alexander under their wings and create a queer found family on set “Because d'uh”
  • Wilson holding Blu’s hand for moral support while they described developing the they/them pronouns scene jointly with the producers
  • Blu saying Wilson took them to breakfast on their first day on set and that he was the first person they opened up to about their family and what they were going through
  • Andrew breaking down in tears as he embraced Wilson at the end of the panel

tl;dr the LGBT panel at Destination Star Trek was amazing

hey hey !!! I’m looking to do some animation commissions! Here are some examples of my work. Price will depend on complexity of the animation rather than length. Send me a DM if you’re interested.

An approximation of the above animations would be:

1. Medium complexity: € 70

2. Low complexity: € 40-50

3 and 4: High complexity: € 100

A lower price range can be discussed; for example an animation with no color or bg.

I can animate creatures, humans, effects and environments. Your OC or fanart! I like to try new things. Adult content is also allowed.

Hi! I was reading a lot of your fics, and I'll be commenting on one or two of them when I can find some, but I really am super curious: where did you get the idea of calling Garak's junk a 'thorn', and the three indents on the Cardassian body things like Sky? Im sure Ive seen the indents being named that somewhere, but I can't remember I really enjoy all of that and feel inspired by you using it all ;u;

Thanks for the ask, dear anon!

I got the idea for thorn kind of organically, from reading other fics where people used ch'och (spear, I think), and likely from trying to come up with Cardassian idioms or ways of thinking. It's also possible I was heavily influenced by "A Stitch in Time" and took some of its imagery unknowingly (fairly certain roots are mentioned). It seemed fitting to use a plant metaphor. Also, I kind of hate writing the word penis in most iterations, so thorn is a brilliant way to get around it, haha!

As for Sky, Earth and Deep Spring - they are my own invention, since I wanted to stop stealing/using all of tinsnip's and Vyc's terms. Deep Spring was inspired by 'the rain', a concept of copious Cardassian fluids, so I just riffed on that. I mean, when you really think about it, this is just like Chakras, revamped for Cardassian purposes. I headcanon that these names are of Hebitian origin and were originally spiritual (because I think those 3 spoons are used to detect electromagnetic fields of other Cardassians), and that the terms persisted long after the Hebitians were gone.
