In the Muwatta of Imam Malik, there is a hadith that states: “The Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa sallam)was shown the lifespans of the people (who had gone) before him, or what Allah willed of that, and it was as if the lives of the people of his community had become too short for them to be able to do as many good actions as others before them had been able to do with their long lives, so Allah gave him Laylat al- Qadr, which is better than a thousand months.”

Today, Allah taught me that, in Life - you don't always get things to go your way. You can plan and plan, but if Allah decreeds for it to happen or not. HE can.
And when you thought that you can depend on some people whom you called friends, to calm you on your darkest hour. You'd thought wrong.
I kind of forget that you can never depend on humans. Because they'll end up disappointing you again and again.
So why do we always go back there? To feel good? To feel assure?
I am so done.
So done with Life.

was the year, that i almost got humiliated by the thoughts that i was gonna be someone’s wife.
it was gonna be the end of my single-hood.
thought that it’ll be the start of a new journey, a new phase in life.
it felt like almost this happened yesterday. but it’s been already, 3 years.

Be a friend for the sake of Allah. How?
Be a friend to a Friend of God. Then do not seek that people focus their friendships and energy on you. Point them to a friend of God. And let all those who wish to befriend you end up being a Friend to the Friend/s of God... whether they be of the intermediary world (the barzakh) or the living ones of this world. For there is no real friendship in His sight that is self serving.
