✨Artist, Animator, Writer✨ this blog is under renovations! 18+

Can I go on hiatus when I wasn't active to begin with??

Now that I have it typed out, it sounds like an anime / webtoon title 😂

This blog is going to be quiet for a little bit! My office is getting re-set so I won't be doing much art. This isn't really an announcement that needs to be made because I'm really off-on about posting anyway, I just wanted an excuse to show off my lil artwork~ lookit mini me go!!

There's a common movie

Trope? Theme? Overarching concept/formula?

Basically, how it goes is something like: "A family, but the parent(s) were secretly spies, or secret agents, ect. But not anymore. Except for one last job, getting discovered, ect. Now the parents are in danger, and it's up to the kids to grow up, get past their differences, appreciate one another, character growth all in order to save their parents from <Cause of the inciting incident goes here> Kids end up needing help from extended family/family friend/random ally. Parents are proud, the family all gains a mutual understanding of each other, so on so forth

I have now seen three movies that follow this formula, more or less XD Pretty sure Spy Kids popularized this, or at least perfected it.

Has anyone else seen a movie just like this?? What even is this formula called??

The Traveler. A mysterious figurehead of the Watatsumi resistance against the usurped throne. He carries a cane to support himself, but this cane doubles as a weapon. Made of metal and combined with his element, it makes a formidable weapon, if he is caught and forced to use it.

A strong anemo user, scarred by electro but refusing to hide, instead painting it onto his mask. A fox mask to mock Kaedehara Kazuha, the man who married his own husband's murderer and now rules at the side of Scaramouche, the usurper, much to the chagrin of Inazuma.

Except all, perhaps, is not as it seems... Kazuha, of high standing due to his family name and his kitsune blood, is not at all happy where he is- in fact he is not seen much at all. And Aether, his husband, the settled celestial killed by Scaramouche, is perhaps not so gone... but that raises the question, where is he? And why has this face of the resistance, the Traveler, shown up one night upon Kazuha's windowsill?

Why, upon seeing the pain he is in, do the insults die in his throat?

A very very fun AU made with a friend, inspired by Princess Bride!

Outfit source/inspiration under the cut!

A Healthy Dose of Stupid

I've been thinking about character flaws a lott, lately. Mostly because I've been doing aot of "Is your character a MARY SUE?!?" quizzes, and the questions are interesting. For one, it was a "list your character's greatest flaw" and there were a lot of options to choose from but... It all felt very one note. Too beautiful, too clumsy, too smart. Also you can only choose one- And those are good to start with, but it reminded me of what someone said about themes, once. Love, or nature, is a good IDEA But it isn't a theme. "Love can heal all wounds" or "nature should not be trifled with" are more themes, that are further supported by those core ideas.

I always go into these tests with one character of mine in mind. Abigale. She's my first real oc, I guess, and I know her story the best. Curiosity is typically a good trait, but her curiosity is her downfall. How do I show this? I wrote her doing something stupid XD she practiced some magic she knew nothing about all to sate her curiosity. And she got hurt, as a result.

(This is a very old thing I never posted XD Still relevant to this day! Abigale is still a loveable dumbass, who grows more chaotic with each passing day!)
