Okay so society specifically imperialist based society is justified by supposed basic state of eternal warfare when there is no centralised power right? But what is capitalism if not that this is an economic system built on the fundamental of inter-personal individualistic warfare.

Ugh 😑 I know what you mean. I’ve encountered rude ones in the past who have these attitudes. However I’m not going to be unfair here. I don’t wanna bash the people entirely. Perhaps they’re more palatable to me as a Venus dominant Taurus. That may be why they get along with me more along with the fact that France has a Cancer rising (Cancer energy adores me). Many of them are aware of these flaws that you guys have graciously highlighted but I do agree that perhaps they need to have more self-awareness nationwide for some of the ugly things they’ve been responsible for. They’re a little too in denial of their own flaws all the while unfairly criticizing other cultures such as that of the US. I’ve read many French political commenters paint their country as some paragon of progressivism which is just not true. Scorpio and Aries are both signs known to have excessively inflated egos. Scorpio especially can be very egotistical at its worst since it’s ruled by two egotistical planets at once (Pluto and Mars). That may explain why the French are generalized to be so arrogant, aggressive, and jingoistic. Hopefully more awareness in France will arise regarding colonial injustice on their part. I mean the colonial billing…is mega fucked up. That shit’s gotta stop. That’s not right. The fact that they still demand money from their colonies demonstrates that their government does not accept that their imperialism was wrong. I don’t want to kill people and I don’t want to support the killing of people. I don’t really want to kill fascists, I don’t want people who are fascists to be killed. I feel that shit, pacifist instincts are strong on the left and certainly opposition to fascism is often born out of a disgust for the violence perpetrated by fascist regimes.

I’ll even go so far as to admit that many of those who we call fascists are followers of manipulative fascist cults that utilise the fucked up biases and prejudices people are likely to pick up to exploit them.

The thing is though that the danger they pose to society is an immense risk and as that risk escalates it gets closer and closer to a kill or be killed (or worse) senario. It is essential under circumstances that have existed and which may exist again to kill fascists and it sucks but ought implies can and we cannot under any circumstances tolerate fascists. We cannot allow fascists power. And all the pacifist intent in the world means fuck all to that goal. Fascists dying is not a bad thing if it is essential to human life and wellbeing at a societal level and that’s what’s on the line.

Rightists legitimately not understanding the meme or that we’d actually want “democratic socialism” to just be socialism anyway. Since, let’s be honest here, “democratic socialism” as described by Bernie Sanders and others is just welfare capitalism with union jobs, and it’s hilarious that Prager U actually thinks New Deal-esque proposals designed to save capitalism are “cultural marxist takeovers trying to implement full socialism”. Until workers democratically control their workplaces and production for profit is replaced (neither of which are proposed by social democrats), we’ll still have capitalism, even when it calls itself “democratic socialism”.

Given how often rightists call nazis ‘socialist’ its pretty easy to believe they’ll “buy {the idea} slightly changing nomenclature changes underlying principles”

It’s worth noting that actual Democratic Socialists do ultimately have the same aims as other socialists and only propose a different means to getting there (which has been ripped to shreds by revolutionary socialists for as long as it has existed as being unscientific and overly optimistic about the nature of the bourgeois state) while social democrats who often purposefully dress themselves up as democratic socialists are not socialists and subvert class consciousness and leftist perspectives to serve the status quo. For example your Scandinavian states are social democratic to varying extents while Venezuela is a democratic socialist state which does share characteristics with social democratic projects but utilises these towards the goal of a smooth transition to a socialist state (this is not looking overly successful as a tactic).

In short demsocs can be comrades, socdems cannot but can be useful in providing some relief to working class people.
