Serious question, why does this ship get so much hate? I mean I get they're also popularly shipped with other characters but hating on a FICTIONAL pairing seems like a huge waste of energy.

The toga chapters have been the worst. Her stans point to her mental illness and I’m like bitch she’s sane enough to choose not to understand. She never even bothered to try to think about why ochako would talk about consequences without pitying herself. I wish instead of her own house, toga had spied on the family of her first victim, saito. Then realize the way she feels about twice is the same way they feel about saito.
like, hers is a fucking mental disorder and it’s called antisocial personality disorder. her mind couldn’t be valuated on the same standard with normal people, her situation isn’t about ‘the difference’ like deku or aoyama (and like her stans love to sing) but about the fucking inhumanity. seriously, it took humanity million years of evolution to forge our intelligence and cognition, so human can be more ‘human’ rather then animal; yet toga actively rejects humanity become animal, to live solely based on her instinct of a primitive animal. how can y’all say it’s because of her quirk? Hound Dog has a more animal-based quirk than her yet he’s still a Pro Hero and a counselor at a high school?
then here come how Horikoshi writes toga himiko. i really hate how he tries to push her backstory in reader’s face and emphasizes “This girl is pitiable! You have to consider bleeding your heart for her!” then some chapters later he draws her like a fucking madwoman who deserves a proper witch-hunt ritual while still manages to condemn everyone else for being heartless toward this little girl! reading toga chapters was one of the most disturbing, insufferable experiences i’ve ever dealed with.
and like, why people merely read then cry for toga while her family and almost every other characters involved her were the true victims in her story? so many teenager boys lost their lives under her bloodthirst; her parents were came after because others realized toga was the serial killer who’s roaming free out there killing more innocents instead of pleading guilty; even ochako who has zero obligation to suffer toga’s madness now is being guilt-tripped into forgiving her. why toga’s ex schoolmates and her parents are ones to blame here when her schoolmates were pretty normal around her and if anyone told her to be normal they meant “act like a fucking normal human and stop subdue to your animal instinct”. why toga asking if twice and her aren’t treated like humans when she never considered people she killed and helped killing were also living humans with full human rights?
idk maybe her reaction to twice’s death is the author trying to show us that toga still has a small piece of normal cognition inside her messed-up brain and therefore she will be saved (ugh!)
