I’ve just discovered my new favorite painter, Vittorio Reggianini - those smarter than myself probably already know of him as an Italian painter from the 1800s who made satin look even satiny-er than satin. I just cannot get over how much he loved painting women who were NOT. HAVING. A. MAN’S. SHIT.
But there was one hottie that everyone seemed to like, and I can’t blame them…

Me, after learning that most of the media depicting Greek Gods by the ancient Greeks that survives today was commissioned, designed, and made by men, and therefore does not depict female interpretation or telling of the myths, and is probably extremely biased towards a misogynistic portrayal of a strong woman: the canon Athena was in our hearts all along.

This will be much shorter than my first fic rec but here is an update with other great Amanda x Sarek fanfiction! This is more for the seasoned Sarek/Amanda fan rather than someone new to this ship. Go to my first post for those of you who are new to this otp.

This fic is amazing. It’s is such a different take on how Sarek and Amanda meet. They both get marooned on a planet and have to survive. I’m curious how it will tie in to being an origins story. It is on hiatus right now but I encourage everyone to read this and keep an eye on it!

This is a Mirror verse fic. I read it years ago and I generally enjoyed it. I haven’t re-read it since, but if you are a veteran in this otp and plowed through my first fic rec this may be one to read. I can’t remember exact details but there is a sequel to it as well.

Want something completely light-hearted and rather silly? This one-shot is just that its a ball of fluff but it humors me. It’s fun but don’t take it too seriously. I don’t usually go for things in this category or even recommend them but I wanted to add some variety to this list.

This is a fic focusing on Sarek and Spock’s relationship. It’s fun to see the moments between Amanda and Sarek as they try their best to be good parents. It’s hilarious. And I feel like I’m gushing too much about how awesome this writer is.

Making moves to improve your life are always so uncomfortable and unstable. One of my friend’s said it’s like walking in some really tall heels for the first time. You are gonna stumble and be wobbly but if you keep at it you’ll be runway walking. It’s the same concept with your life. Making these changes might be uncomfortable and even embarrassing if you don’t get the feedback you think you deserve BUT everyone has to start somewhere. These steps will eventually add up you just have to bite the bullet and do the damn thing.
