What I like about Rebeka and Cayetana is that they are two characters that oppose each other. Cayetana is an example of a declassed person, someone willing to sacrifice the integrity of the people who love her (like her mother) in order to socially escalate, who renounces what she really is (someone from the working class) to blend in with an environment oppressor she wants to belong to. It is, as we would say in Spain, one “I want and I cannot have”.

Cayetana is what many would call a class traitor, she allies with the oppressors and despises the oppressed (which she basically does when joins Lucrecia or despises her mother repeatedly) while Rebeka is the other side of the coin.

Rebeka was originally a working class person who has ended up being rich, but that has not made her forget her origins or the social class she has always belonged to. Rebeka retains her class conscience, rejecting school snobbery, classist attitudes and immediately join those she identifies as her equals (Nadia or Samuel) rejecting those she recognizes as oppressors or natural enemies of her original social class. For me, one of the most important moments for Rebeka this season, which gives the final brushstroke to her profile as a character, is when she accuses her mother of having become an ‘oppressor’ and also of being 'one of them’ in reference to the people who use their privileges to exploit others. That scene was gold because it shows us how Rebekah, first and foremost, is faithful to her principles and origins, quite the opposite of Cayetana. 

Cayetana and Rebeka are two characters with points in common but each one in an opposing team. These differences are, in turn, what defines them as characters and what also defines my opinion about them. I can’t forgive Cayetana for being a class traitor, I can understand that she wants to fit in, that she needs to be cool in the high school, but she doesn’t have some basic principles for me. On the other hand, I love that Rebekah, despite everything, be faithful to the person she has always been, regardless of the zeros in her account and always keep in mind where she comes from.

I hope Ester and Itzan are aware that they somehow made Carla x Samu one of the top three ships on this show with their chemistry and acting. Like their plot was good but it wouldn’t have worked if they weren’t so perfect

carla’s instant shift in facial expressions as soon as she said “you never had me” and walked away was *chefs kiss* i mean she HAS the range i felt her pain so damn hard. like bitch i know you lyin your feelings for him were DEEP. she could pretend all she wanted that she was only with him to try to control him and keep him close but i see right through you sis. give me more carmuel. the layers. the shifts in power as they balance each other out. the secret rendezvous. the sex. the complicated feelings they dont know how to properly express to each other. everything!!! need samu and guzman’s friendship and carmuel to rise next season. samuel was so much more interesting in this ship than he was with m*****... carmuel were so out of character together and brought out these different sides to each other. it just really worked for me

I think the reason why I like Samuel x Carla so much as a couple is because I feel like Samuel is not the type of guy Carla is used to and he brings out a different side of her. Carla was usually the one in control in her relationships and Samuel challenged that. Carla’s relationship with Polo was familiar. They had been together for a very long time and she just became accustomed to the dynamic of that relationship. She was able to be in control of that relationship and she knew that Polo was devoted to her and I feel like sometimes she took advantage of that.Same goes for her relationship with Christian. Christian was just a toy for Carla that she could buy fancy things for and show him off. Again, she was the one calling all the shots and Christian just let her because he was so infatuated with her.Samuel, on the other hand, is completely different from this. Samuel challenges Carla, something she isn’t used to. Samuel never lets Carla be the one fully in control and he isn’t falling at her feet like Polo or Christian. With Samuel, Carla finally found a geniune relationship with someone who isn’t with her for her money or just because they’ve known her for a while. Samuel brings out real and raw emotion from Carla. And in a way I think he makes Carla not want to be heartless and stone-cold anymore. I mean he was the one that got her to confess about the murder when she thought he was dead. I just think their relationship could become one of the best on the show.
