Gabriel, an angel in love with a demon, went to the angel who very famously also did that, for protection. It's making me emo that Gabriel, literally with nothing to go on, felt safe with aziraphale BECAUSE of his love for crowley!!! Thats what managed to survive the mind wipe: oh, aziraphale loves crowley, and so he is safe. Even when that was the original point of contention between Aziraphale and Gabriel!! He went to the bookshop because he KNEW not only that was where love lived, but where it would be PROTECTED and he was right!! 😭😭😭😭

huh I just saw an early season nine bit where Bdubs is going off adventuring and promises Cleo the monolith if he doesn't come back. And then Sausage left Cleo the deed to the crastle when the crossover ended. I like that leaving Cleo build deeds in wills is a thing. It's only fitting that the undead take the ruins
I'm so delighted by the Tycoon Scar death bit Scar mentioned in his first Pirate SMP stream. Sure there's the boring interpretation that a random pirate killed him. But that would dismiss the fact that Scar lies.
I don't know what story concept I find funnier: That Scar is an immortal con man who has to fake his death every now and again. And then spreads the news in his new persona. Sometimes it's needed. He was very well known as a tycoon so pirate Scar feels the need to brag (even though he technically only took his own hat).
With Last Life Scar he didn't need to say anything. It was a death game for funnsies and everyone died so who cares.
Second concept: Scar is supernatural. He is a Vex after all. But his body can die. And sometimes people do get the better of him. So a random pirate got lucky. But really he just signed his own fate because Vex don't need physical bodies to survive. They are just more convenient. And hey that bugger just robbed him off his body. So it was only fair for him to possess the pirate (more like take over and throw out the trash).
Morphing his features to resemble his usual appearance he finds he is rather tempted by the prospect of shooting ships out of water and getting money by violent and illegal means. And this pirate has an interesting invitation resting in his pocket.
Done with his land dwelling life he goes to find new adventures. He only needs more fashionable clothes first. And more hats.
The more I think about it. The more ideas come. I love Scar for this morsel of lore.
In general, I think it's currently really important for progressive Christians to be very loud about being both progressive and deeply religious Christians, and for everyone else fighting for progressive values to be supportive of them doing just that. I know that's like, idk, counter-intuitive or cringe or whatever, but seriously folks, the alternative is that progressive Christians have to be quiet about their faith to be accepted within broader secular and interfaith progressive advocacy, which means that the regressive asshole Christians (a) sound that much louder and (b) dominate the USian religious landscape all the more. That's a problem, for all of us.
We need people pushing back within the faith as well as outside of it, because that destroys any edifice that this is about Christianity and religious freedom.

My source is that I've personally met and talked to Christians of great faith and integrity - people who embody the closest forms of kindness I've seen to what Jesus himself advocated - who are each of these things.
