i’m not sure why i have to say this, but please, please do not take one of the prompts i’ve created and remake one of my fics/ take a fic that i haven’t made a part 2 for and decide to do it yourself. while i love that i could’ve inspired someone to write something, i most definitely do not appreciate others branching off my work, and I encourage you to be creative.

like i won’t lie, i get pretty aggravated when i see a very specific ideal i’ve created, reworded and paraphrased to be someone else’s work. it’s happened like six times this week alone and it’s driving me insane lol. though ik i can’t tell others what and what not to do, i still feel a need to touch on it because it keeps occurring.

something like that is not seen as flattery in my eyes, and it doesn’t make me feel the best because it takes me a lot of effort to write and come up with what i do. and if you want to remake something another author has already done, the least you can do to be courteous is shoot them a dm and ask how they feel about it first before going on to do it anyway.

that being said, i’d also like to add that i do not reuse prompts or ideas i see written in other people’s works, either. i see that as rude and disrespectful to them as writer. and if it’s a request that i receive from an anon and i notice the exact same one has been sent to others as well, it gets deleted. because again it just creates unnecessary issues and nobody wants that! thank you 🫶🏽

How the Covenheads Help with Cramps

Belos

Is very understanding of biology and the pain your going through and is actually very helpful during your time of month. While he grew up in a time where wive's and women didn't talk about these sorts of things he refuses to be uneducated about feminine issues just because he's a man. Denying you painkillers would be akin to denying him palismen when his curse acts up. He takes good care of you getting you whatever you need to be comfortable and makes sure you're resting and taking some time off so your body can rest. While he may joke about having a baby to get rid of the cramps for nine months he is nothing but supportive and doting.

Hunter

He learned from his uncle about taking care of a partner and is a complete gentleman during your time of month. While he may be a bit awkward at times he approaches it like a mission. He gets you all the needed supplies and makes sure you're comfortable. While physical touch and affirmations aren't his thing he does his best to make you feel loved and he'll do whatever you need him too. He gets worried when you're in pain and does his best to take care of you, he hates that he can't help more.

Kikimora

The imp has had her fair share of cramps and pain. She is more than ready to take care of you. Heating pads, healing potions, medical supplies. Whatever you need if she doesn't already have it, she will get it. She also lets you be the big spoon while cuddling. You use her as a plushy, cuddling her and holding her close as you rest and get better. A bit demeaning perhaps but she loves you enough to endure it.

Lilith

She is always prepared for your time of month and your cramps. She keeps it in her calendar so you're never caught by surprise. She has your favorite snacks, potions, pain killers, and all the soft things. Anything you could ever want she has stockpiled just for you. She makes sure you're getting plenty of food and rest and that you take painkillers regularly so you're not in any pain. She has a busy schedule but she makes time for you. Both to take care of you and to make sure she practicing what she's preaching.

Raine

They'll sing you to sleep or play music to get your mind off the cramps. They encourage lots of rest and do their best to play music that'll soothe you and your sore body. On nights you can't sleep they stay up with you singing softly or telling stories as their hands play with your hair and massage your shoulders. They are very touch orientated but respect both you and your boundaries as you endure this silent pain. Tell them what you need and they'll do anything for you.

EberWolf

Eber can smell when your time of month is coming. So whether it's regular or not they always know before you. He has a nesting instinct due to being a demon witch subtype and will make sure your comfy and taken care of in a nest on your bed made of your guyses clothes. They also prefer natural methods to traditional medication so they bring you warm blankets, soups, and comfort foods as they take care of you. They also bring certain herbs and plants from the woods to help keep you calm and crampless. During this time they become very cuddly and overprotective wanting the best for you and your body. If you ask for pain killers he'll hand them over out of respect for you but he wants to try his methods first.

Vitimir

Vitimir is brewing teas mixed with pain medication for you before you even ask. He knows all your favorite snacks and exactly what you want when you get cravings. He does a good job playing caretaker as this is one of his main forms of love languages. Vits very gentle in his actions and although he can't say it physically he wants you to know how much he loves you by the actions he does for you. An example is when he lays with you to cuddle after a long day, he traces small hearts into your arms. Nuzzling close so you know how much your loved, even if he can't say it.

Terra

She can be the worst or best during your period depending on her mood. If she feels your period inconveniences her your hell week is about to get worse. If you don't like being touched or are sensitive to touch on your period it doesn't matter. Terra expects her cuddle time whether you want to or not. That being said if you've been good she's very doting. She makes you teas and gives you natural remedies for your cramps and aches. She loves getting to be your personal nurse when your on your period and finds the power trip it gives her thrilling.

Adrain

Adrain has very strong care taker instincts. He takes cramps very seriously and hates to see you in any kind of pain. He's always spoiling you because he loves you and wants you to feel special but your entire period he's pampering you. Massages to soothe the cramps, warm bubbly baths together, all your favorite foods, and lots of lounging/cuddling. He's an expert in period care and most months you don't even notice the pain or discomfort thanks to his help.

Hettie

As head healing witch this can go two ways. She can soothe you your entire period or she can let you suffer because she enjoys watching your pain. On the one hand she recognizes she could put you in an almost medical coma making the period painless because of how much your resting or on the other she could make your cramps worse from your stress and her magic. It depends on her mood. Sometime she likes being the hero and other times she enjoys being the villain. Maybe a little too much.

Osran

As an oracle he knows when your period is coming, how long it'll last, if it'll be irregular or normal, and what you'll need. He is not the most attentive when it comes to your emotional needs but due to his powers he is always prepared for your physical needs. He buys the exact amount of snacks you'll need so you don't run out. The exact amount of pads or tampons. The type of cleaning products you'll need if you have a bleed through or accident. He's always prepared and it's nice to know he has everything you need even if you sometimes want more from him.

Darius

He's one of the best at taking care of you balancing spoiling you and continuing your schedule as usual. After his shift there's massages, cuddle time, bubble baths, spa treatments, reassurance, snacks, and movie nights. Darius spends your period pampering you and making sure you have everything you could want or need. He keeps you on a heavy but loose schedule so that your still getting in everything you need to do but at your own pace. He likes to wear matching pajamas and stay in to cuddle under warm blankets while you watch romcoms together and do spa treatments.

I've noticed lately this community has a large lack of engagement. I'm assuming this is because people are from Twitter and TikTok. Tumblr is not Twitter and it's not TikTok.

As a creator who doesn't get paid to write fanfiction and does it in her own free time, I derive pleasure from comments and people interacting with me in my inbox. People lately are just expecting me to write and are giving nothing back. I ask questions on my blog and rarely get any response. I try to make fun ask games or do fun things with my followers and there's no engagement. When you submit an ask it needs to be more than a sentence or two. It doesn't have to be hyper specific but I need help writing stories. I need guidance and ideas. The shorter an ask the harder it is to do. I also need interaction. I need people to respond to my work with more than likes.

Don't be afraid to message me, don't be afraid to talk!!! Don't be afraid to leave your o.c info in my inbox or to infodump about Owlhouse. Maybe point out stuff you think I haven't noticed or ask my opinion about something in the show. Tell me what character you think I am, ask about my o.c or tell me about yours. The Owlhouse is a community so let's stop being so isolating and start getting more involved.

messages like these are SO demotivating. 

it feels like every other day i’m getting passive aggressive “so you’re abandoning this then eh?” type comments, or DEMANDING fics for doodle au content, or asking for updates on completely unrelated posts. (i got asked for fic updates on a post i made about my gf!! that was not about you!!) 

it makes my DAY when someone posts a well thought out comment on one of my fics. I have received so many wonderful messages that inspire me to continue working, that make me want to write and to share my work. 

but when someone treats me like a content-production machine, it makes me want to stop creating. i have a life outside of fanfic and fanart, and even making fanart and fanfic is in service of my own enjoyment of said thing. 

so please treat creators like people. if you’re excited about something, share that excitement with us, but please take a moment to elaborate on that excitement. because a single word demand for content Is Not It

Season 3 Lumity

There’s been a new era of Lumity I’ve seen since Season 3 began, despite their relationship being relatively out of focus. I’m not just talking about the angst, though obviously yes, Luz is very depressed and that impacts how they interact. But it’s more than that, and I really like the direction it’s gone with their romance.

I noticed it right away with the rain scene,the way they interact here is different from before.They were always ultra affectionate,but there was a tentative, blushey energy. Here that is gone,they are fully comfortable with each other, no longer nervous,and deeply romantic.

It truly feels like they’ve been together for a while now, had time to progress in their relationship. They are in a new stage, and that’s apparent in all their interactions. It’s why they don’t blush so much anymore, which is actually quite normal.

They are seeing each other more clearly, not only recognizing but becoming very familiar with all their tendencies and habits. In many ways their interactions are MORE romantic than they were previously.

Before, they were absolutely adorable and innocent. Now they are matured, deeply in love, and incredibly tender.

I appreciate how much time their relationship has been given to progress. Usually it’s only the pining phase.

With Lumity, we have a silly pining phase, an early relationship phase where they are ridiculously sappy and nervous, and now a phase where they are completely comfortable and see each other on a much deeper level.

They are so tender now, with their expressions and the softness of their affection.Though Luz is having severe mental health issues, the two are deeply aware and caring of each other. It is sadly rare to see this level of healthy communication and understanding in media.

It means so much to see a mutually loving and supportive relationship progress past the crushing phase and blossom into something deeper and more intimate.

And while their relationship is fairly out of focus in S3, the bits we do have are masterful and make me even more attached to the ship than before. I adored the silly crushing era, but this more mature and tender era of Lumity is EVERYTHING to me.
