Just wanted to address something real quick...

I left Tumblr for several weeks and just barely came back today because someone else directed rude unwarranted comments to me. Taylor Swift has basically left Tumblr for the same reason.

Take a moment to think about what you’re posting and if your words are going to hurt someone else before you respond. It’s important to remember to be kind to others instead of tearing them down because of what *you’ve* assumed about a complete stranger. Apologize when you make a bad decision, try to repair the hurt you’ve caused, make whatever changes you need to to make sure that you aren’t doing the same thing again.

The internet is never going to be a kinder, more welcoming place unless we start making the changes necessary to make it happen. The change starts with us - we have to start making an effort to be kinder ourselves in the first place. 💛

This is in reference to this post and thread of notes/comments:

It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk 😆) I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing… and living to speak about it. With six extra songs I’ve sprung loose from the vault, I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with you on July 7th.
