Ghost would come walking (definitely not running) into your room because you called him at 2 a.m., screaming that there’s a bug flying around.

The guy’s pissed, alright? You gave him a heart attack, it’s a long day tomorrow, and he had to change into his uniform and put on his mask. Also, you could have handled this alone, being a soldier yourself. You know how to eliminate targets; you could have used your slipper in this situation.

On the other hand, he could have stayed in bed and let you deal with it. Hell, he didn’t even need to answer that call. He cares, though he’d rather endure five consecutive hell weeks than admit it.

And then he’d just stand at the door and stare at you being all frantic. You’re running around, tugging at your clothes and shuffling your hair.

He finds it amusing; You’re not in real danger, and that bug is smaller than your big toe. Plus, you didn’t receive any reports of hazardous predatory insects in the area, so it’s safe to assume that this little guy cannot eat human flesh.

But you’re almost in tears, and beg him to stop standing there and do something. He notices how distressed you are and understands that he stalled a little too much. He waits for it to sit still and stomps on it or smashes it with his hand if it’s on the wall.

And then he’d pick it up with a tissue and, instead of throwing it away, he’d just show it to you—indicating that it’s okay and you can calm down—murmuring something like, “this is why you woke me up for; remember it next time you whine about a surprise wake-up call.”

“Abolish Golf”

A typical golf course uses 200 million gallons of water a year. There are over 16,300 golf courses in the United States.

That's nuts.

Ngl I hate golf and I'm all for this. They put a golf course in our public park at the expense of hundreds of centuries-old live oak trees. Half of the walk around the park you're just looking at an empty golf course. Like 2 people want to play golf. So annoying.

Golf was a game developed in Scotland, where it rains up to 250 days of the year, and where the courses use very hard-wearing grass. The sand in the bunkers is because it used to be played on the coast - these traditional courses are called "Links" courses. The top Links course in Scotland, Royal Dornoch, uses no mains water at all. They have their own rainwater collection system.

It wasn't originally intended to be played in the middle of a desert on lush green turf that takes thousands of gallons of water a day to maintain. Unless you can keep the course alive using only rainwater collection, it shouldn't exist.

You were a generals daughter being married off to colonel König.

Your new husband was very cold to you and was rarely there, you spend most of the time in his vast mansion.

The mansion excluded a certain coldness and emptiness same as its owner. You wanted to be in your husbands favor. You really did but he rejected your advances.

You found him to be a very attractive man, in his mid thirties, his hair resembled a deep earth brown, in contrast to his icy eyes, he worked long hours and didn’t seem very interested in you.

You were yearning for him, for any human contact as a matter of fact, the mansion was secluded and surrounded by the most beautiful pine trees you’ve ever seen. Your husband took great pride into the acres of land he owned.

One particular day he felt rather inclined to being nice to you, he showed you the property, the lake which froze over in the winter and a hut which he used for “hunting purposes”, his words not yours.

Sometimes you gazed out of your windows hoping to see your husband…one time you noticed him bringing something bloody into the hut…but you didn’t want to find out what he really did in there. So you pretended like nothing was wrong.

In front of your parents and other officers your husband was very affectionate towards you and it made your heart shatter that he didn’t treat you like that in private.

Your heart yearned for his love… You didn’t understand why he was so cold to you.

During one dinner party hosted by another colonel, a man your age approached you, not knowing that you were Königs wife. This happened often since you and König were only married for a few months now and the younger officers didn’t tend to know you.

He complimented your hair and your dress. You started getting shy not knowing how to deal with this situation you didn’t want to give him the impression that you were flirting …

So you thanked him politely and tried to get out of the conversation. From the corner of your eye you saw your husband being chatted up by another officer, he seemed bored and his eyes had a gleam to them that scared you. The chandelier reflected the icy color of his eyes.

The man was rather insistent and wanted to invite you on a date, you being the naive and kindhearted person you are … you didn’t want to hurt his feelings and tried to let him down slowly.

As you ended the conversation telling the man you weren’t interest, it was already too late.

König saw you and the younger man , a fury which he never felt before in his life started to spread in his chest. He gave you a grim look.

However he decided not to cause a scene in front of the other officers he couldn’t risk them finding out about the beast which crawled under his skin, when he saw you with that man.

When the two of you got home the same night , he pushed you against the wall while entering the house and kissed you passionately, his light stubble grazed your face, as his lips wandered down to your neck.

“Du gehörst mir! Vergiss das nicht.” He panted between kisses. He picked you up and carried you into his room.

This was the first night that he made love to you.

You couldn’t walk for days after that.

He showered you with praise and whispered sweet nothings into your ears…

After that intense night he took a bath with you and washed your back with a gentleness you never expected from the tall Austrian. He kissed all the marks and hickeys he left on you… he placed purposefully for other men to see.

After that he moved all your belongings into his room and never let you sleep anywhere else, he needed you beside him at all times.

You noticed him spending more time around the mansion and you…he did all his paperwork at home and pulled you into his lap whenever you were near him, he wouldn’t let you leave him.

The “incident” with that man made him more paranoid than he already was…he now thought that everyone was out to get his wife… so he took care of this “problem”……again.
