i mean it’s introspective for sure but there are people who think that the song is like, her fessing up to being a covert narcissist, understanding she’s too big for every room, admitting she’s not sexy, etc.
Self-awareness is understanding and awareness of oneself, so to call Anti-Hero self-aware is to imply that all the things she talks about in that song are true facts about her and her personality. The reality is that most of the content in that song is not the straightforward truth - it may be somewhat rooted in truth, but it’s twisted by her anxiety and her deepest fears. It’s beyond self-aware to self-conscious, self-deprecating, and self-destructive. To call it self-aware is very much an oversimplification and to be honest, completely misses the point of the song.
