i absolutely love the fact that sizhui's life breaks one of the most painful parallels it has with wei wuxian's.

the jiang's (except shijie, because shijie is the best and can never be even slightly mean) always made wwx feel like he owed them just because they took him in and gave him food and shelter.

sizhui was also taken in and raised under lan wangji but he is so clearly loved. his worth and his well-being is so clearly kept above everything else.

like lan wangji stood by wei wuxian's side, breaking the trend of wei wuxian's loved ones leaving his side, he also broke the parallel by raising a kid who knows his worth and that the worth does not lie in how much he can sacrifice himself.

i am such a sucker for found family!
