Reading her account of how their boss treated her blows me away. Men are so emboldened that they will literally admit to illegal discrimination casually and face no consequences.

Every time Israel escalates violence against the Palestinians, someone tries to bomb my kid’s JCC preschool over here, 5,600 miles away in a community where many of the members would not be recognized by Israel as Jewish.

Israel doesn’t even acknowledge all Jewish people, including all US reform converts and most Jews of patrilineal descent - some whose grandparents were literally victims of the Holocaust. Israel doesn’t want all of us and is selective in what Jewish communities it listens to, so stop acting like we’re all part of the problem here on account of being Jewish.

Instead of being antisemitic, go do something useful, like contacting all your representatives (ResistBot is great for this) to pressure Biden to condemn Israel’s assault on Palestine, and putting your money in places the Palestinians are saying they need it.

This is a Mostly good graphic but as has been pointed out in the notes, Samaritans are not Jewish but a separate religion and culture. It's misleading and not helpful to present Samaritans as "oppressed Palestinian Jews." There *were* actual Jews in Palestine before the establishment of the state of Israel. They were coined "old Yishuv" Jews, though not all of them were MENA, and while it's convenient to say Jews, Muslims, Xtians, and Druze people all lived harmoniously before the establishment of the state of Israel, it's not completely true or helpful to frame it as such. This does not excuse settler colonialism in any way, it's just not really historical reality. Further, regardless of the backgrounds of Old Yishuv Jews, they were absorbed into Israeli society as beneficiaries of an Israeli Jewish identity over their Palestinian neighbors who were not Jewish. Anyways, please be careful about reblogging this kind of information without being sure of all the claims being put forth.
